  • Former Liberal MP Nicolle Flint has called out the Labor government over its “homegrown inflation” ahead of the federal budget release.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers will deliver the Albanese Government’s third federal budget on Tuesday night, with a forecast surplus of $9.3 billion for this financial year.
Ms Flint joined Sky News host Peta Credlin to discuss what she will be looking out for in the federal budget.
“What I’m looking for is the big picture, how will this budget get cost of living under control,” Ms Flint said.
“Because my community is hurting here, people are hurting all over Australia and this is because of Labor’s homegrown inflation.
“We have to make sure that the economy is growing faster than spending.”

It's better to be on social welfare than working nowadays. So unfair.
