I think the difference between putting dough in wrapping foil rather than a container is that in the foil it has room to expand it has no boundaries. In addition the foil is not completely air tight so the dough can grow better. Maybe you can put the dough in a bowl and cover it with a plate or a wet cotton towel if you don't want to use foil. ☺️ Greetings from Germany!

I'm a long time viewer from the States. It's early Saturday here, I look forward to getting your video notifications early in the morning. To answer your baking question, if a recipe says to tightly wrap bread or cookie dough, it does make a difference. it's either to keep the air out or to retain a certain shape. I know you try to minimize waste so maybe you can use parchment paper and either recycle or wash and reuse it. Love your channel! So thankful that it showed up in my recommendations awhile ago! ☺️🌷
Just to answer the question. If you put the dough in the container, most probably it will ‘skin’ which means the exposed part will be quite hard or to form up. But wrapping it with a cling wrap would prevent that. Love your videos! ❤️

To answer your baking question, if a recipe says to tightly wrap bread or cookie dough, it does make a difference. it's either to keep the air out or to retain a certain shape. I know you try to minimize waste so maybe you can use parchment paper and either recycle or wash and reuse it. Love your channel! So thankful that it showed up in my recommendations awhile ago! ☺️🌷

Just to answer the question. If you put the dough in the container, most probably it will ‘skin’ which means the exposed part will be quite hard or to form up. But wrapping it with a cling wrap would prevent that. Love your videos! ❤️
