I put a neodymium magnet on my drill press cover to stick the chuck key to. Thanks for the review, thinking of of getting one of these to replace the old hf I burned the motor up on.
The drill table support on this drill press (same one I have) is too small for the center supported table so you end up with a table you can rock side to side and in the process you can see the support twist. I have seen other videos of other drill presses with the same issue. The Jet drill press at work does not rotate but does tilt so the table support is much stronger and does not have the issue the Grizzly has. I fixed mine by adding a completely separate support (parts that go over the column and under the table) on top of the original support minus the adjustment handle. To accomplish this I had to machine a post from bar stock that I pressed into the bottom of the table support. This extends the table support (center post) so it engages the second table support that is attached to the column. The second table support assembly was supplied by Grizzly as a result of my compliant. I can no longer tilt the table but that's not an issue for me. The top column support (when loose) just rides up and down the post as you adjust the bottom support then you tighten both up. The table is now very stiff. I should patent this, lol.
Sounds like some good engineering. You might need to see if Grizzly wants to get you on their team. I have not had any problems with mine but I do work only with wood and for what I need it for it is working fine. Thanks for checking out my channel.

I have added a magnet to mine now to to hold the chuck key. I think I showed that in the video I made on building the table for it.

I bought one of these drill presses but have yet to receive it. Is the chuck center-line to the drill post exactly 10" of is it slightly more?
Mine measures exactly 10". If it is more than 10 it would have to be measured with a micrometer I think.
Thanks
What! No demo?
I will keep you in suspence until I get a good project to use it on. Thanks for watching.
