The chord changes are so unconventional. That's what I love about Supergrass. They don't create this kind of diatonic predictability. They always explore the outside.

One of my favs albums ever... I remember times when unboxing cds and play..then hear this fantastic opening song for the first time 25 years ago as a teenager. This version is a gem, wishing to hear the rest of the unreleased material
My friend and I were playing a PC game and I put the newly bought CD in the drive as a soundtrack and I just let him play while I listened. I heard Late In The Day, which I'd been trying to find for ages and finally I knew who created that masterpiece.
This version is insanely better goosebumps on the all I can see is all her and all I can be is her….those chords ❤️❤️❤️

I've been a Super grass fan since this album about 1997 and I've never heard this version ever, hope it's not in the vinyl reissue
I believe this "Monitor Mix" will just be a bonus track on the extras disc included with the CD set. I LOVE this version but agree that the original versions should be part of the main album reissue...hate revisionist history like the Manics did with their This Is My Truth reissue from a few years ago.

I agree; this is interesting though - I *think* a monitor mix is basically a quick mix, so this was always gonna be a bit rough ..
Like Oasis, their sophomore album was their greatest.
