    Just a quick history. Nate has "lost" 13 MMA fights. 10 of them were decisions (half were split), 2 were TKO's (doctor stoppage & ref stoppage) and 1 submission, which was in his 2nd pro MMA fight. So he's really only been stopped once, and that was a long time ago. Nate is a monster

    Masvidal is actually scientifically correct that when you start thinking in a sport it wears you out. Studies have shown that even for top level athletes during competition the brain is still using more energy than the body. It's why going into a "flow state" or "the zone" is basically being able to shut the mind off as much as possible and just let everything flow.

    • @Candace575
      @Candace575 Рік тому

    Nate has an advantage of a 10 round fight. Nate wanted 10 rounds which tells all of its avid boxers, is that Nate plans to have Jake gas out for the first 6 rounds. At 42 yrs old, Ive been a big UFC fan for all 30+ yrs. Renting UFC 1 on VHS tape at 12 yrs old at my old neighborhood VHS rental store. I never steered away from the UFC. Even during their struggles, their awful initial fight pass website, all the transitions from events on VHS, top 10s on VHS, watching on Spike tv (which to this day is my all time favorite media period), to Fox and currently on ESPN and ESPN + (which I absolutely hate, but still don't miss a fight even when their ESPN + site is messed up which is about 75% of the time). @JNJ1014 Рік тому +3

      @@mycrazylife408 Bro I understand most commenters here don't know what they're talking about but I know boxing as well as I do MMA. The entire reason I became a fan of Nick & Nate Diaz were they were the 1st MMA fighters I saw who understood boxing fundamentals, would utilize consistent body work to break opponents & who gave proper respect to boxing.
      You seem to think Nate is like Conor (I.E. an MMA fighter w/good striking compared to the average UFC fighter but a total neophyte when it comes to boxing) when nothing could be further from the truth.
      Nate, as well as his brother Nick, have been training in boxing w/their coach Richard Perez since they started martial arts training in BJJ & Boxing as young kids. I mean they were Andre Ward's main sparring partners during his training camp for Chad Dawson & he spoke very highly of their boxing skill objectively, as in they were good BOXERS, not "good at boxing for an MMA fighter" which is what Conor is.
      Look at Nate's MMA fights & focus on the exchanges on the feet. Look at how Nate throws punches, look at his footwork, etc. You'll never see Nate overextend when throwing, unlike Conor, which is why Nate hurt him so badly w/a simple straight left counter during their first fight. You'll see him consistently go to the body to sap his opponents' cardio, the efficiency in his punching technique, etc.
      Jake is younger, hits like a tank & has much less accumulated damage than Nate but there's no way his cardio is anything close to Nate's triathlon-enthusiast ass VO2 max & Nate has quite a chin.
      I'm not saying you're wrong or Nate can't lose, I just don't think it should be taken for granted that the former Disney Network star will wash a Mexican-American gangster from Stockton who survived 2 decades in the UFC.

Hell he cat pawed McGregor into clinching cause dude was way too tired. Both Diaz brothers only ever been scary when nobody else knew jiu jitsu...the minute the average fighter learned it, they stacked up losses. Nate is my pick but Nate is prone to cut and in boxing you can get stopped on cuts. Hopefully Nate will have a good cut man in his corner.

    I like Masvidal but let's not forget he didn't think Usman had power after their 1st fight and he took a serious nap during the 2nd!!

    Bruh Nate Diaz is gonna whoop jake Paul’s ass so bad Nate has good boxing and amazing cardio and chin

    Y’all musta forgot Nate learned most of his boxing from sparring Andre Ward when he was sitting champ and Andre himself said Nate was a world class boxer…
    Irregardless Jake literally can’t win. Jake’s only way out is an early KO and Nate has literally never been flatlined. And if he’s still there by the end of rd 2 his volume and pressure is gonna turn Jake into coward because as the famous line goes “fatigue can make a coward out of any man”

    I don't think Nate's Cardio will be an issue, never has been. The Diaz brothers do marathons for fun, as far as I am aware.
