Thom Yorke is one of the best frontmen in the business.
You forget how amazing the greenwood boys are !
@@seangriffin8514 and Ed and Phil... (Nigel and Stanley too)
He makes me wish I had a little girls voice
He's one of the best ever. Combining his songwriting, voice, presence on stage and fact hes a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist.. dudes a freak of nature
Agreed
Climbing up the walls was ahead of its time for its sound. The instruments, effects. One of my favs. Gotta be studio version
They would freak out over that song
Everything about it is perfect. The images that it puts in your head are better than any video. It's the perfect short story.
Ludvik M. Well said. The visuals from those sounds are amazing. And there is so much detail in the track
I don’t even know how you could create something like it
Dan Finkel you said it man
Radiohead is (imo) one of the greatest of all time. Thom Yorke's voice is angelic, ethereal, hypnotizing.. and the composition of the music is incredible. I recommend listening to "Videotape" for its interesting time signature and "I Promise" because it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
The signature for Videotape is 4/4. Couldn't be more ordinary.

“Just ‘cause you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there.” Such a cold line. Please react to more Radiohead!

Radiohead is one of the best bands ever. Great reaction guys!
Dude, one night I was hanging out at my friend's house around 4am after a rave and everyone was asleep except for me cause I was on acid, watching music videos and this song came on... needless to say that music video took me on one hell of a trip! If you've seen the music video you could imagine that trip...
That bassline holds it all together, and the drumming keeps it moving, the guitar and backup vocals fill in and create atmosphere, and finally Thom voice carries it.
Street Spirt(Fade Out)
Radiohead - No Surprises is one of my favs
"There, there" is a common British expression that someone uses to calm someone else down, e.g., a mother might saw it to an upset child as she gives them a hug. You should watch the official video for this. It's a really cool, creepy stop-motion video. Also, you might want to check out a live version of this. The other two guitarists, Ed and Jonny, are playing drums in addition to the drummer. It's pretty sweet live. Thanks for listening to my favorite band (along with Yes).
Peace from SF
Radiohead are one of my favorite bands. Some of my favorite songs by them are... Videotape, Idioteque, Everything In It;s Right Place, Street Spirit.
Anything off the "Hail to the Theif" album is pretty groovy! Kinda relevant at the moment too!
Tbh OKC is much more relevant nowadays. Not saying HTTF isn't tho.
HTTT is timeless.
@@TheseBitchesWantNikes hell, if the copyright holders don't burn it all to the ground before i get a chance to cop them all on their proper discs, vinyls, audio files, it's all timeless!

Radiohead and Tool are the best bands of my generation (I'm 48)
Radiohead, Tool and the Grunge Bands (PJ, AIC, STP, SG, Nirvana, Hole, Helmet). That’s what got me started.
Both have a fantastic creative approach 👏
I would also add Opeth to that list. Honestly the bands that have really blow my mind and stand out are bands that sound different. Radiohead, Tool, Opeth, Mastodon are my picks.
litterally my 2 equally favourite bands.
@@MainelyW212 Hole is shit. The others, yes
Radiohead, tool, and deftones are among some of my favorite artists. A solid discography, and a solid band where every member Thom, Johnny, Ed, Colin and Phil (Clive and Godrich) really deliver gems.
Try Radiohead - The National Anthem or Paranoid Android or as someone else suggested: Climbing up the Walls next.
Exactly !!! These 3 stand out with energy and anger, anxiety and they are so fuckin' beautiful! No other band has ever pulled so many utterly incredible songs and such a diverse !
Never 'got' Radiohead from the OK Computer album back in the late 90's until 20 years later, in 2017, watching their Glastonbury, UK, performance...and boy did it all finally click into place! Downloaded 10 albums the next morning! Forgot already how fine this track is. Nice.
I was at their 2003 Glastonbury gig. It was astonishing.
I recommend "A wolf at the door"
Totally agree , I can barely keep up when singing along!
@@supersilencer You too? haha its one of my favs of the album :)
Yeah, would be interesting from a rapper's point of view.
Also this was an amazing reaction! I'd love to hear you do more Jane's Addiction - Three Days
This right here ^
"there there" is a tongue-in-cheek way of not giving into someone distressed over their perception of reality.
"it's ok......there, there"--as you pat him on the shoulder.
This song has such a sensual melancholy about it, never fails to get you feeling things you didn't know you felt
Radiohead and Thom are some of my favorite!!! These guys really are musical geniuses. They are so creative and innovative.
If you ever get the opportunity to see this band live please do. They put on one of the best performances I have ever witnessed.
Totally agree. And they’re a band you can see several days in a row and still not have a lot of repeated songs. They typically practice 70+ songs while on tour. As much as I love Tool, they pretty much play all the same songs in the same order almost every night on tour, with just a few changes. That’s been my experience, anyway. Doesn’t stop me from seeing Tool a couple nights in a row, though.
Radiohead and TOOL are the best shows Ive ever seen
Have you heard much off of A Moon Shaped Pool? I highly recommend Decks Dark or Daydreaming
Another great track from this band. First time I have heard this one.
I love this! It speaks and tells a story..
I know Radiohead, but never heard this one! Thanks Guys !!
You guys should listen to Talk show host. So good
Instant subscribe! Huge Radiohead fan here, and you guys reacted to Radiohead as one is meant to - just chilling and listening to everything. It's atmospheric. You totally get it! Totally wish I was there to light a few 🌲🌲🌲s with y'all and just groove 😎✌. Peace, love, and prayers from Canada! ❤🇨🇦
Good one! Tool and Radiohead have been my favorite bands since the 90’s.
I’m not sure what Radiohead you’ve done but some more good ones would be:
The national anthem , airbag, how to disappear completely, no surprises official video, karma police official video, just official video.
Any and all Radiohead reactions, please!
Radiohead is a great ride. You guys will enjoy. Check out the song they did on the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack.
Talk Show Host? Yeah, one of their best. From a catalogue of fucking bangers.
2 Songs, Exit Music, and Talk Show Host
Both are amazing but i was referring to Talk Show Host
Some Notabke Radiohead Bangers - Jigsaw Falling Into Place, Pakt Like Sardines in a Crushed Tin Box, 2+2=5 (The Lukewarm), All I Need, Fade Out (Street Spirits), High and Dry, Fake Plastic Trees, Everything in its Right Place, Bodysnatchers, Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Video Tape, My Iron Lung, Bulletproof, Paranoid Android, Subterranean Homesick Alien, Karma Police, Sit Down Stand Up
johnny g Good list. I don’t know why more reactors don’t react to Radiohead. Love.
One of my favorite songs! I always perceived it as him talking about anxiety.
Another brilliant reaction to a damn good song... Goosebumps..
Great reaction!! Just subscribed. Thank you for an honest reaction.
Tool and Radiohead always put me in a special mood.
Yorke-Greenwood are in the club when it comes to musical duos…
QOTSA: God Is In The Radio, Better Living Through Chemistry, Song For The Deaf
Kyuss: Un Sandpiper, Demon Cleaner (also covered by Tool), Thumb
Please? I think you’d enjoy all of these.
i think they might react to my QOTSA patreon suggestion... coming soon.. i think youll like my choice
This! What they said
Southern boys in a Tool shirt, listnen to Radiohead: Love it- top notch: Check out My Iron Lung.. Let Down.. Paranoid Android
Anything from their 'live from the basement" videos are awesome. I prefer "weird fishes"!
You'll love the vibe of Subterranean Homesick Alien.....Tool is Mt Everest, Radiohead is K2.
St. James 318 that song sounds like the musical equivalent of a lava lamp to me 😊😆
A great tune, anything off OK Computer will please these guys I think.
Subterranean Homesick Alien is one of the most beautiful things I ever heard.
Hey guys, love your videos!
I hope you get to react to more Radiohead 🙂
I always thought that the lyrics were about Thom Yorke comforting his children who were scared of noises in the woods.
My dog gets scared of things easily and at night sometimes she stares at cats for a bit before chasing them, “siren singing you to shipwreck”
“There, there” is a phrase meant to reassure a upset child I think while rubbing their shoulder to comfort them.
I recommend almost anything from Radiohead (anything past their first album is awesome)
‘The National Anthem’ would make for a great reaction I think.
The song ‘Just’ with the music video is great too.
Radiohead is for a complex mind. It is deeply felt y those who are hyper aware and empathetic.
Hey guys! Love your channel! Just have to mention, I am also from the south( the GREAT state of TEXAS), and we don’t all eat dirt, 😂! You guys are awesome! Keep rockin’ it out! 🤘🏻
I’m GenX and have seen many concerts over the decades from the punk, new wave, grunge, and the great Willie Nelson, Chuck Berry etc……..RadioHead is by far the greatest live show I’ve seen! Brilliant band!
Thom makes you want to sing along... I caught you Hollywood 😎
Lyrics:
In pitch dark I go walking in your landscape
Broken branches trip me as I speak
(Just cos you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there
Just cos you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there)
There’s always a siren singing you to shipwreck (don’t reach out, don’t reach out)
Stay away from these rocks we’d be a walking disaster (don’t reach out, don’t reach out)
Just cos you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there (there’s someone on your shoulder)
Just coz you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there (there’s someone on your shoulder)
There, there.
Why so green
And lonely?
Heaven sent you
To me...
(We are accidents waiting
Waiting to happen
We are accidents waiting
Waiting to happen)
Thanks guys for reacting radiohead. More radiohead please
Phil Selway on drums seems to provide a rail driving through the music that everything hangs on or coalesces around . If the drums were searching for there own stand out moments , competing for highlights the music could not work , and as a result his work shines through completing these works of art .
Even when you do a song or band im not a fan of, i still want to listen cause you guys are! love hearing your little insights about it, kind of gives me an appreciation of a song i might not have come to on my own, cheer BOIS
Thin Yorke is involved with greenpeace and friends of the earth, so I think the song is about climate change. Specifically people who believe we can carry on as we are and God will save us from ourselves, and heaven sent the planet to us so we can do what we want with it. You don’t hear those arguments very often anymore but it was fairly common at one point. The ‘siren singing you to shipwreck’ is our desire to have nice things, to be comfortable and care free as much as possible. Its tempting but trying to get everything you want all the time ends in disaster! Whether for yourself or someone somewhere else in the world, or the future generations who will have to clean up the mess. You may be inclined to say ‘jeez thom, lighten up!’ but when he keeps churning out gems like this he can be as cynical as he likes as far as I’m concerned! Plus I agree with him anyway, so there there 😎
The. Bones of this is the riff and vocal melody. They are saying it's just fine to get your heart destroyed. ❤ and how you don't understand them. Once you was there and them they are kinda there but dumped you like garbage. This is what this song is. Thom was going through the hell we older guys call life.
You guys were spot on with my experience in school with my name lolol. Aweaome reaction guys! Thanks!
Lowell Upchurch Hey, thanks for getting them to react to this song, well done. 👍
I just discovered your channel and am about to subscribe. Another Radiohead suggestion for you. The National Anthem from the Kid A album.
Rappers must react to A Wolf At The Door
More from radiohead pls!!! greetings from mexico! new sub here!
"aw, is that it?" is exactly how i feel every time this song ends
If you're on a radiohead kick I Would love to see your take on Reckoner - Live from the Basement
He was singing about going after a girl you're not meant to be with. Tricking yourself into believing you're in love when you're really just in a terrible relationship that's going to seriously mess you up.
"There will always be a siren singing you to shipwreck."
"Stay away from these rocks, we'd be a walking disaster."
"You and I are accidents waiting to happen."
"Just because you feel it, doesn't mean it's there." (Referring to love.)
It could be viewed as religious as well, as coming from an atheistic or agnostic point view as well
@@derk486 I was just going by what Thom Yorke said it was about.
Yesssss..... Radiohead is Tool without all the math and distortion. #FightMe
Radiohead is incredible! Interpol is also amazing and has a similar vibe to Radiohead. I recommend Obstacle 1 by Interpol.
my favorite song to play on guitar when I'm stoned..lol..radiohead will absolutely brings you the other dimension...
Karnivool change part 2.
Hey! You guys did Radiohead!? Excellent choice. There are probably 4 Radiohead albums in my top 10. Awesome musicians. Like Tool, the came out of the Class of '93 with Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against the Machine, Alice in Chains, and so many other great bands. Mas Radiohead! Por Favor!
They are all uber talented.... We are accidents waiting to happen
9:46 I love how you found a relation to what your grandfather said to you. That's why I love Radiohead dearly. They have eclectic music that hit buttons that you didn't know were there, but on top of that, they have very relatable, yet non-formulaic lyrics. The lyrics aren't so predictable like mainstream music and not so 'esoteric' like prog music. Radiohead are the sweet spot.
I'm from south Arkansas and down around where I'm from some people eat white clay, there's even a place in a little community where they go to dig the clay out of cliff walls.
i absolutely love ONLY 3 male singers' voices:
- Layne Staley
- Jeff Buckley
- Thom Yorke.
Hey, from Philly, here. Love you guys, got into you guys through your Tool reactions.
You guys should check out Frank Zappa - Dirty Love
Frank Zappa and The Mothers Of Invention - Trouble Every Day
And Frank Zappa - I'm The Slime. I think you guys would dig this. Funky pimp ass 70s rock.
Also, check out Porcupine Tree - Arriving Somewhere But Not Here.
Whenever you get a chance, lol
Also, is that one of you guys rapping in the intro? That shit sounds dope. Damn, I'm blazed and rambling. Haha, peace out, y'all. Much love.
THAT VOICE!!!
Great vids. Can you do ‘how to disappear completely’ by readiohead, it’s epic
Radiohead absolutely one of the best band out there. How about a little Blind Melon guys. Great reactions as usual.
Rabbit in your headlights... Thom York with UNKLE
British viewers will know Bagpuss, the song and video is connected to Thom and his love of the children's programme from the 70s.
plz do more radiohead! just like tool they have a full catalog!
Paranoid Android (album version), No surprises, Karma Police, You and whose army?, Lotus Flower
Yes, nice reaction guys! Check out the band Jane's Addiction~Three Days. The song has been in my Top 10 songs of all time ever since it came out like almost 30 years ago. It's a masterpiece. Lyric video with that one would be cool as well, if you can find one. One more band I'm gonna request The Smiths~How Soon Is Now (Full Version) another masterpiece and also in my Top 10 songs of all time too. ✌
History is written by who won the wars. Great channel guys!
Love the band and love u guys vibe!
A fully realized song.
Best bands of all time.
1 - Pink Floyd
2 - Radiohead
Wrong way round 😄
Radiohead is on another level.
😍 more please!
Gojira Pray live from Red Rocks
This song had me holding onto the ground for dear life on liquid acid once.
The guy on the right, so good when he closes his eyes, feeling the hit.
Give him a tool song and he’s eyes closed for 10 mins.
Do these guys crank deftones? They should
They do
Street spirit (fade out) - Radiohead
This song was written by the “Doubting Thomas” Yorke 🤯
you should check best transitions in history of heavy music. You wont regret.
Life Of Agony - This Time
and
Life Of Agony - Through And Through
What a great reaction!
You guys are great, however where do you get a 70’s vibe? Name 3 bands from that era that has this vibe?
I hope one day you get to experience those sweet sweet b-sides
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. everything in its right place
Gojira -Flying Whales
Their concerts will change your life.
Meshuggah please 🙏
A lot of talk about TOOL being the Pink Floyd of the 90's generation, and I absolutely love TOOL as well, but for me Radiohead is hands down that band. For me no band in the 90's and since has the musical talent, the variety of sound, the experimental elements of their compositions, the range of subject matters covered in the remarkable writing and the sheer musical intellect that this band possesses is peerless. THE next band you guys need to give their due after TOOL and discover their complete discography. Preferably starting the journey with the Pablo Honey album and working from there.
Amazing band.
A single song suggestion if you must have one for me would be Paranoid Android or How to Disappear Completely
You need to do street spirit(fade out) from Radiohead
Bros with everything going on right now in the world you gotta react to A Perfect Circle - So Long, And Thanks For The Fish.
You won’t regret it!
Jesus wept one the best.......i have loved this track since it came forth.....
