Otherwise, the order was exactly 10th in points (Nichols) to 1st in points (Tomac) in the 450 class. Find it really strange top "top 450 riders" think it's BS to have those guys in opening ceremonies. Now I got to make some calls...I'll definitely bounce back here with what I hear.
They used to introduce every rider by teams in the “125” class back in the early 90’s. The riders lined up next to each other all around the track in their respective teams. There’s always going to be “beta” moves that promoters will run with. The fans will ultimately agree or disagree with the direction Monster Energy is taking the SX series.
These kids earned it just as much as the guys in the 450s you’re young go back to the 70s in the 80s with the shit really started. Even Rick Johnson said it’s a nice thing to see the young ones getting recognition for the hard work they put in I’m old enough to remember those days, so stop crying like a little girl
Opening cerimonies used to be so much more. Same thoughts as you. I miss the smell of 2 stroke gas combined with those cerimonies. The lasers lights, all the crazy fire works, KW transfers, riders riding out to their own music. Hell McGrath even came out in a Lamborghini one time. Where did it all go?? Other things.....there ways used to be a truck and boat sit in the middle of the track. No more of any of this stuff.
RW, as a minister, Dad & Granddad & wanting my sport to be family friendly...there are some songs I don't want played to the kiddo's. Also, as much as I only want the top 450 guys in opening ceremonies, Feld can do what they want. Speaking of Jett, Hunter & Deegan are fan favorites. If Feld stops making $...by by SX series.

Let the sport grow, I'm here for the racing but if it is bringing in viewers and money...Growing up watching this sport alone, to watching entire families join in because their kid just wants to see deegan do a whip. In many cases (jett, hunter, jo) have the skills to be top 10 in points in the 450 class and as you mentioned are far more popular than a lot of dudes in the 450 class. I think that they deserve a chance in the spotlight as they are bringing just as much if not more interest to the sport.

Honestly I understand the tradition side and earning the opportunity to be a part of the opening ceremonies. BUT... I think it should be top 5 of each class (450/250). The 250 class has earned it, you have guys like Jett and hunter hell even Hayden as a rookie that have massive attention and people come just to see them not even knowing alot about the 450 class riders, their popularity helps but they earn it in their racing but it shouldn't take away from the 450 intro program...and yeah I remember when they got to make their own intro videos and choose their own music to come out to, one of my personal favorites was trey canard in ATL with the smokey and the bandit intro 🔥

The 2 sports made a big move to unite to make it better for the riders and of course the viewers. Brain Deegan and John Tomac bring the knowledge of championship fathers to the sport, and their experience shows in the offspring's talent. Better ideas make the sport better not complaining.

Yeah riders should be able to choose thier song, it's a reflection of there personality, who they are and the fans follow the individual and want to represent that person. As for the 250 guys it's only the top guys, as for growing the sport I see it as good thing. There throwing down lap times that are the top 10 laptimes of the whole night, in same cases 2nd fastest lap time of the day, that probably should be recognised. Honestly if the 450 guys a worried about 250 guys in the opening ceremonies then there not really focused on racing so it's a non issue, in saying that it should only be top 3 250 guys. I would like to see them include the top finishing 250 and 450 riders from the previous week. They should be doing more to get the privateers exposure . The top 250 guys should be included because they have many fans just like the top 450 guys. The choice of songs should left up to the riders.
