I understand your Walther addiction, they are just lovely things. I have a prewar commercial PP and so does my dad. They are just timeless and still look modern even in 2024.
They're one of my favorite guns to wish I could collect because I'm poor but I sure do love watching them😂😂😂
Always enjoy watching and learning from your videos. Thank you and have a great Presidents Day! 🙏🏼🇺🇸
Happy i bought mine before the price surge
You are very knowledgeable and I appreciate your sharing your information with us novices.
Tom did you know Walther makes 1911s
They are gorgeous.
New Production ...
Great Tom! Now I have to buy one!
My understanding for “plumb” colouring of the slides was the introduction of higher nickel steels, which didn’t blue as well, you see the same issue in Beretta 1934 slides, the vote is still out on that?
It depends on who you ask, some think it’s a sign of restoration rebluing (I disagree). Some think it’s high nickel content steel and or improperly bluing. I think the later due to late war conditions.
Excellent video and thanks!
I like this Walther video!👍
lt always good to see you Tom and thanks for showing these fine Guns.....
Old F-4 2 Shoe🇺🇸
Excellent as always, Tom can you please do a video comparing the dural frame and steel frame? I see the line between the frame and barrel but haven’t a clue what it looks like when striped. 👏
THE KING OF WALTHERS ?????????? AWSOME...
Hi Tom. Have you ever seen or heard of a green colored PP holster? I had a late war PP with the wood grips and it came with that holster. Sold it years ago though. Can’t keep them all!
Awesome video Tom, keep them coming!
Great video
Very informative. Thank you!
I need a Mod 1, 2, 3, & 6 to complete my early Walther collection.
Fantastic information! Thank you for educating us! When were the first PPK and PP’s made in 9mm Kurz?
Left grip in Hans Hand🎉 🥓from hands

It always amazes me how the red paint adheres so well.
Thanx for posting this video!!!
Wasn't there a version of the PPK chambered in .25 ACP?
Yes! But not many were made.
22Lr too❤
@@Nick_B_Bad thank you for explaining. The thing is here in Portugal the "civilian" handgun calibers are .25 ACP and .32 H&R Long. And the fact that you may or may not be able to obtain the B1 Class firearms license depends on the police officer that examines your request for doing the exam to obtain the license. So, it's nearly impossible to defend yourself here. And if you're lucky enough to get your request approved those are pretty much the only calibers you can obtain when it comes to handguns. So that's why I asked. It's because I like the PPK... it's a compact pistol and extremely reliable.
Great commentary! There is so much to learn about these pieces of living history
Case knives pre-'80s the top scales would fade from the sun. I wonder if these were stored light side up grip wise?
James Bond gun Walter ppk and p5 and p99
Any idea on who was issued HSC's?
I've got a strange nice one with smooth black plastic grips. Wf-N
135?
My guess about the W mark on the mild steel magazines - the mentality during the late war was that Germany could still win, even if that was only for political expediency. So it is logical that they would mark the magazines to be removed from service as soon as practicable & replace them with the hardened versions.
I got a German luger with 3 digit number made in 1940
true Navy?
Just got my first PP yesterday. 👍
Walther Mania day is real!
The number is 540
enjoy the lesson and the history , those numbers though...........🙄🙄
Many look in Unfired Condition.

Being holster poor, I have found that my PP fits very nice in a Polish p64 holster. No one but a collector would notice./̵͇̿̿/'̿̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿ ̿
It was made by mouser
Hey Jim ! Mauser 🫡
I to suffer from a Walther PPK fetish, along with a Browning A5 fetish.
