Now, sunrise is also animating both Niji s2 and Superstar s2 at the same time... uwaaa I wonder what will happen if they pull the people working for the two shows together to focus on one love live... maybe they can get close to kyo ani. One can only dream... (Edit: Just to be clear, Superstar staff did great this season, backgrounds were beautiful and both the ed and op was fantastic. Its just that some of the cgi models this season... sometimes, they're a bit rough (Ep 1 insert song for example). Kinda expected because of the new artstyle, but it should improve over time (like sip 1 -> movie cgi, hopefully))

Just my opinion cause as far as I know all of KyoAni works are mostly drawn animation. Even the chunnibyo battle scenes, It just look smooth as hell. And for me it's even better than ufotable's blade works.

9 Years and I still find this astonishing, the song, the animation, the looks, the flashbacks, their face expressions .. This is a perfect masterpiece that will never get old. I love the vibe of it so much, it triggers so many emotions, touching yet amusing. It’s so funny to see how they compacted a whole idol anime in these flashbacks, how they didn’t plan on who’ll defeat it and all the hard work was wasted. But these funny flashbacks are so heartwarming and the song is upbeat yet comforting?, I can’t even explain but this is truly amazing. I watch it for the good vibes.

What really got me during this was the training montage. I could live with them resorting to a group performance for the youmu, but the training montage made me lose it.
I think my favorite part of this scene is how they were all so focused on dancing (and having fun while doing it) that they forgot about actually attacking it. I mean, just look at all the smiles in the flashbacks, and their heavy breathing while smiling after finishing to see how much fun they were having. Or it could be the wink at 1:27. It’s just cute.

What really got me during this was the training montage. I could live with them resorting to a group performance for the youmu, but the training montage made me lose it.

I love how Akihito and Hiroomi are straight faced the entire time while dancing
10 years later and this is still the best filler ep in anime
I think my favorite part of this scene is how they were all so focused on dancing (and having fun while doing it) that they forgot about actually attacking it. I mean, just look at all the smiles in the flashbacks, and their heavy breathing while smiling after finishing to see how much fun they were having.
Or it could be the wink at 1:27. It’s just cute.
