This song is 10x sadder when you realize that the author confirmed that Subaru's parents are depressed and are still looking for him to this day. Sadly, they wont ever see him again.
Tappei, the author, has said before that if Subaru is never transported to another world, his dad would have helped him out of his depression and lack of motivation and Subaru would have lived a good life. Somehow this makes this so sad, now his parents will never get closure because Subaru disappeared from existence.
I still keep the hope, that, one day he will be able to see them again, I mean, look at those insane magic people have in this show, there must be a way, at least to communicate with them, author did not confirm that he will never see them again, only that their parents are trying to find him One day, I know he will tell them everything is ok God I love re zero.
Something I'd like to see at the end of Re:Zero, maybe a portal or something between Subaru's and the Re:Zero world, so they'd be able to travel between worlds, maybe so Subaru could show his parents where he's been and all the friends he's made, it's just a thought, a wish I have really, we may not get this, but I'd love to see something like this happen
@@Pika_hunter Exactly. He never hated his parents. His low self-steem and self-hatred made him like that. He didn't answer his mom not because he wanted to hurt her, but because he was too depressed and mind-tired to do so. He always saw his parents with good eyes. To be fair, what he always wanted was for HIS parents to hate him, for being "useless".
I just finished listening to all of Re:Zero OST, and I've got to say this anime really has so many incredible soundtracks.. I keep returning to this song as it's so .. hauntingly beautiful... It's also great to see how much of the Re:Zero community who also really appreciates this music and anime, the composer is such a genius and deserves so much credit for this work! ..ahh what a great show. Now I have to watch it all again before embarking on season 3! Hope to get my wife to join me this time. It may sound fake and cliche but I actually played the song from Re:Zero "Wish of the Stars" on piano in our wedding :)
There's a side story where Subaru tries to get Beatrice to say goodbye to Roswaal and others every time they leave the mansion or at least welcome them back whenever they come back and that's mainly because of how he didn't say goobye to his parents, he even has a flashback to that in the story but tries not to think about it at the moment. Otherwise it's a pretty wholesome side story but this context is sad.
To be fair Asa ended up being almost just as relatable for the Subaru type of person, so even if Denji isn’t the most relatable, Fujimoto succeeded later
If episode 15 and 18 were the best episodes of season 1 then I consider episode 4 to be season 2's best one. Just because it adds so much to Subaru's character and it's also a huge development for him and also a way for him to actually realise what even happened so far and to say goodbye to his parents. It's both hopeful and tragic.
Sayonara, Okaasan. Sayonara, Otousan... To, arigatōgozaimashita. Anatatachi ga sewa o shita watashi no ai. I said it very literally, to make it easier for novice Japanese speakers to understand. Though, I'm sure you get who's saying it

...
Someone needs to point a gun at Tappei so he can make our boy have his parents back!!!!
thats fucked I wish he never told us that
😭 Now I want to forget this fact.
The worst part is that they will probably blame themselves for his disappearance

This is why you should always love your parents
He loved his parents but just hated himself

Season 2 ep 4 is Masterpiece
There's one moment in arc 6 that this could be played.
Man…that would hit hard
Bye mom....

What's the name of the side story?
@The.flower.club.pmc17 "Librarian Beatrice’s Reluctant Promise" if I'm correct. I read it on witchcult translations.

Thanks!
REALLY HITS HARD MAN
It's not in the itterasyai scene. The real song is "Mother."
Simplemente hermoso 😢😢😢
Sad thing is Subaru could of had a good normal life if he didn’t go to another world and his wife would be similar to rem
teppei fr just want subaru to suffer bruh😭😭
Este y el ost de fortuna son los que mas sentimientos tristes me traen. ME ENCANTA ♥️
some dude. Denji from Chainsaw Man is the most relatable man in all of anime/manga.
Natsuki Subaru: If you say so.
True lmao
Fr
both of them are imo
who tf said that

episode 18 of season 1, not 17. 18 is Rem's speech.
@ronantheronin3521 o- it appears I was mistaken then
Very emotional 😢

Depois desse episódio fiquei com medo de ficar igual o Subaru, pois eu não tenho nenhum costume de falar "eu te amo" pra minha mãe e meu pai...
