Target fixation. On rollerskies its very easy to become a victim of target fixation. As a experienced motorcylce rider Im very aware of this and it suprises me how easy it is to slip out of focus and balance specially when just rolling downhill. Focus long ahead when rolling downhill and if you feel that you will not be able to turn move your head in the direction you want to go. That will improve your balance and make your feet turn the skies in that direction. As a exercise roll in a 8 formation where you always move head in the direction of the turn.

advice for downhill balance on the roller skis? i’ve taken some nasty falls lately when i start getting in my head.
get closer to the ground by crouching down.
Consider learning and blending in SpikeBoarding Skiing. Great casual way to commute skiing and really good way to cool down after roller skiing.
