Breaking the law or killing anyone isn't really ok. But as far as I remember Jehova's witness have some rules or at least partial restrictions about for example some movies or TV shows and such. And I dug out bit more information, which says that they refuse to participate in any political and military activity and are told to limit social contact with non-Witnesses. The denomination requires adherence to a strict moral code, which forbids premarital sex and homosexuality, adultery, smoking, drunkenness and drug abuse, and even blood transfusions. My point being that I know kids of set religious group would have hard time growing up and in the school middle of modern day other youth. So I wonder if some of the resentment this girl felt was not about religion in fact. That does not mean her mother or parents were doing badly - or ill treating her - but then again religion in the mix tends to lead to worse and worse outcome for some people - if it is far too un-accepting and condemning. I had a friend who was nearly pushed to suicide by his so called 'well meaning' church contacts. Pressuring church and religious group believes on people when it is impossible for them to be the way demanded just is inhumane. But those religious folks would not see it. I have no idea what happen in this persons life. But this has made me wonder if this factor did not have something to do with the original reasons as to why she would argue so much with her mother and parents, if she wanted to be like others and their religious beliefs just did not see any importance in that short of show of wealth. I can't accept any violence or murder of course - but hearing which kind of religious group her family was part of - makes me wonder if it did not affect at least to some extent. It just is that sometimes religion is far from a good addition to a mix. Or to be more exact - people in religious groups and the interpretations set groups may make about religion - cause those all are infested with humanly limited ability to understand and interpret anything.

Hello. Here’s the thing. I had a family of eight. I had six siblings. *Had.* One of my brothers was murdered. The murderer got away with it. I was so upset, because I just lost my brother because this man cannot control himself. I remember that one of the jurors fucking asked out the murderer after the case. I’m pretty sure that they got married, so I don’t know what happened after that. I’m saving up to re-open the case. I want my brothers murderer in prison so bad. I would give anything for my brother back.

I mean there are always people who romanticize killers. There were and still are women who fan over Ted Bundy. They're just now able to connect in an easier way through these online social media sites. We've seen it on Twitter and Tumblr of girls romanticizing mass shooters (There's a group that call themselves Columbiners and they are convinced that they could have changed the shooters and that "this one is uwu boy!") There are people who make "cutesie" art of Dahmer, Bundy, the Columbine Shooters, Parkland, ect. There have always been people like this, these online communities just make it easier to connect. I've seen a few girls obsessed with Bundy say "Electric Chair" is a slur. It's not just Tik Tok, its any social media and it has also always been like this.

I mean I agree that “pretty”, “handsome” and “monster” are all descriptions that can and often do coexist in crime cases. I also think it’s important to acknowledge when a criminal is good looking without romanticising them so that people are well aware that killers don’t all look the same way. I mean ted bundy relied heavily on his good looks to find or trick victims. But people who genuinely simp over serial killers or killers in general are clearly mentally ill to some capacity themselves.

The only murderer that I’ve ever felt any bit of sympathy for was in the case of Gypsy Rose, I mean killing your own mother is beyond unacceptable but in her case, you can tell she was being actually abused for over 21 years and many doctors were aware and did nothing. So in that case, she deserved better and I truly believe she won’t commit anything again when she is released. Whereas the other person involved, they deserve everything they’re getting.
I mention this case to show a stark contrast between cases that should be “glamorized” on TikTok, this case is not it. A teen girl who stabs their mother 79 times in the face and neck doesn’t deserve any sympathy, sorry not sorry.

Just read my first paragraph again, hence why I do feel a bit of sympathy for her. But never did I say I stood by her decisions? It’s highly illegal for her to murder her mother, but a small percent of it is self-defense. Her mother was making her take pills and medications that she didn’t need. No doctors were doing anything about it. So, yes I feel sympathy for Gypsy and I have faith that she won’t ever murder anyone again when she’s out of jail.

People will also believe that a prettier person is more likely to be a victim than the criminal. In rape cases people are more likely to believe that a pretty person was raped Over someone who is not physically attractive. We won't believe the ugly person was raped . And the statistics get more harrowing when you put an ugly person being raped by a pretty person. A lot of times the retaliation will go towards the ugly person everyone will think that they're making it up not just that they're confused and that they're being malicious about the accusations. This reminds me of the “cute” real life yandere case in Japan. This girl stabbed a man and left him in critical condition because she “loved him so much”, and anime/manga fans were obsessed with her just because they thought she was pretty. They were making fan art of her and even funding kickstarters for her bail and stuff. It was horrific. A bunch of UA-camrs from the anime community had to address this and tell people that supporting this murder was not okay. It’s sad how people value looks more than anything. It’s sick.

As a anime/manga fan, and others as well, I did found that case disturbing. One thing is seeing it in a fictional story, and another thing is seeing it happening in real life; seeing how some people "support" that "cute" lady, make me feel disturbed. Also, I think those supporters were only like that because of Yuno from Future Diary, who is a yandere character.

As you stated it was a personal attack, which you also stated that “she just walked past her step dad” means she wasn’t after anyone else, i truly believe she was abused which lead her to that state of mind, the rage to kill her biological mother. If she was released I believe she would try and fit in to society which would be considerably difficult due to her crime. In my opinion I don’t believe people listened to her, many say she was very anti social which could mean she didn’t open up to any friends that she had so that means there really was no witnesses except hers, which would be hard to say in caught with many people even her mother to actually get people to believe her.

We were very poor growing up even though my parents worked hard.
We never knew we were poor because we were raised to make do with what we had. Sure, we were envious of kids who had more stuff, but mostly we were happy. Having everything you want is not good for you. But we had parents who loved us enough to teach us to be kind to each other and to be kind to others. Being rich is not a guarantee to having good kids (sometimes it is actually the other way around). Having "everything" they need or want is not a good thing. We had most things we needed. We had some things we wanted. We pretty much turned out ok. We still get along, and we love each other. Love is a decision you make to care for another "in spite of". So don't be scared. Just make up your mind to do your best, and if you are blessed with a child, give them attention instead of things. Teach them to be kind to every living creature. Love them. Make the decision that raising your children is the most important thing you can do. "Raising them" means attention and teaching (with plenty of patience).
