It took me an hour to learn and memerize how to solve a 2x2 and took me many days to solve the 3x3 and now, I think it with take me a year to memorize and solve the 4x4
Well it took me ¾ hours/ 45 minutes to learn how to solve 3x3
I think it take me 2-4 hour to learn how to solve 4x4
I think you can learn it in some months
