I’m an original online game player . I started playing with Quake many moons ago. When Quake 3 arrived we noticed a handful of cheaters popping up but it wasn’t a major disruption just a few idiots spoiling the game usually rubbish players . Now I’m in my 50s and I still love online shooters still can’t seem to grow out of it 😂 . Since streaming took over the cheating is way out of control it’s sad to see to be honest, I’m still no mug at my age because I have played for so long but it’s virtually impossible for legitimate players to do well nowadays . The whole industry is rotten to the core
I started with Doom and Duke3D via BBS. I know the feeling. Cheaters were few and far between in those days. Now, it’s virtually every game you play has sus players in it. Battlefield is pointless if you can’t play on a private server with active admins, and I can’t imagine Warzone now… At least we don’t have to enter modem strings anymore… Oh and for those gamers that think we’re old, let me give you a heads up: time starts flying really really fast once you’re out of college…

I noticed something similar yesterday where only being around a group who I thought was cheating. My ping would reach 500+ and I could barely move, and it was like I was using inputs without pressing any buttons

But the Ghosts clan flashbacks were so nostalgic it made me miss being stationed in South Korea, in a shitty moldy barracks, squading up.
