After Everfree Northwest ended, I decided to hop on over to the Link Light Rail system in Seattle to film the signalized crossings on Line 1 around the SODO area. This was the first crossing I recorded, where we see some light rail trains pass through the crossing in two separate clips.
This crossing is a pretty nice one, featuring signals that were installed here when this part of the line was built back in the mid-2000s. Nothing appears to have been replaced on them since they were installed, which is rather nice to see, and both cantilevers still feature their original GE e-bells. Unfortunately, the closer one sounds like it's gone sick, and I wouldn't be too surprised if it dies at some point and gets replaced. This is also the only crossing on this line with Alstom LED gate lights, which are rather nice to see. Don't think I'd filmed any in quite a while, TBH.
Hopefully these signals remain the same for a good while to come (though with the sick e-bell being fixed), but either way, I'm glad to have been able to record this crossing in action.
