gosh people. This is the only mythic guide on youtube, just appreciate the effort taken and stop complaining about details. It makes sense to start out with the assignments because you should know what those are about, if you dont you havent even killed HC.
I recorded this video a few days after significant nerfs(I actually had to rerecord the entire video as I wasn't expecting them) - Several of the mechanics behave much differently and a lot of macro and micro strategies that were important are now less so and I felt like it was important to emphasize ways in which you could deviate from kills/guides who killed the boss without these nerfs as well as the specific impacts of those nerfs. The reason I mentioned them as often as I did was to prevent confusion surrounding the current state of the boss, provide direction, and instill a sense of confidence in people currently on or starting the encounter. This video is also unscripted - so it was also probably a partial memory mechanism for me to remember the differences and not give advice based on older versions of the encounter but the current one. I definitely wasn't intending to disparage or condescend to anyone fighting this version
@@ayyxact I came here to prep, watched up to the portal assignment and had 0 clue what he was talking about. If a full breakdown guide is expecting you to have previous knowledge about the fight/the mythic mechanic or jump back and forth after you have gained said knowledge in other parts of the video.. i personally find that very confusing, hence my comment. I very much appreciate the effort Telegon puts into these videos and didnt want to come off as nagging, was an honest suggestion for next time to make them even better for the average raider.
My thinking was that assignments and their weakaura interactions are the most inaccessible and knowledge gated parts of the encounter - the encounter has been released for quite some time and as a result my intention with this breakdown was to provide explanations and knowledge that is not readily available or obvious upon vod review or other research I was also of the opinion continuing along those lines of thinking - that the assignments section would be the most valued and that is why I chose to start with it. I also thought the assignments section was a good lense to place in front of the remainder of the video so the viewer would be aware of these requirements and be thinking about them as I talked about each phase. I'm not sure if this approach was best but that is my reasoning

yea, portal assignments totally make sense after a hc kill /s
The in depth guide to assignments is really appreciated as a RL setting this stuff up. Great video
Definitely tried to cater a bit more towards people setting up assignments etc for their own guilds - hope it helped
Great guide with very useful tips and anecdotes. Keep up the great work!
Incredible guide.
thanks!
Yo thanks for the guide, huge info here. Other commenters dont know about using the mouse and jumping to points they want to see. Pretty weird.

Do you by chance have the link to the NS externals? I have looked and cant find it on wago.
What is the tool / you are using to draw on the screenshots / make your "raidplans"?
I use Figma or Raidplan itself to generate images - I use a cheap tablet and EpicPen to draw on top of the screen
How many times do you need to mention the boss got nerfed and that it used to be harder

stay mad shitter
Why start with the assignment before explaining anything. First 20 Minutes should be the last 20 Minutes.
100%. In addition, an hour long video with no indexing of chapters??
Any serious prog prep would start off with assignments like in the video :D crazy how people find literally anything to complain in the comments xdd
