Squidward displays clear talent but gets dunked on by the audience & doesn't know why. Then Spongebob outshines him by doing nothing special at all instead of any of the things Squidward could've just let him do in the first place if he weren't so busy seeing everything Spongebob does as childish & uncultured by default. Spongebob was patient about it, more so than Squidward deserved but Squidward couldn't handle it when it happened to him & probably didn't even learn a lesson from it.
