    We need a V8 Super Cars Division in the USA. There's more than enough great venues here.

    So, on behalf of nissan owners, I must ask, how long before the timing chain tensioner fails??

    Good video. A little bit like a kids education program though having someone that has no idea about cars talking to someone who looks like they aren't old enough to drive. Semantics aside, would like to see more in depth videos on other teams like HRT, RBR, FPR & Erebus. :-)

    And to think in 1993 all the Holden drivers bagged Larry Perkins for using the HOLDEN V8 and not a Chevrolet V8 in his Holden Commodore but when he won the race the same people who laughed at him were now complaining about him so they banned the Holden V8 from Supercars competition and Holden drivers had to use the Chevrolet V8 quite funny really.

    A look at the new Hyundai-Motorsport WRC factory or the Volkswagen factory would be great although I think it must not be easy.

    It's amazing how friendly they appear on TV compared to real life. I used to support them, but after meeting them, I couldn't respect them at all

    I will start tirelessly de-stickering that car right now if it means I can get my foot in the door as a technician or engineer for that team.

    I didn't think resin infusion was all that new. I thought the benefit of the technique was that you let the resin cure without an expensive autoclave, at the cost of heavier resin content.

    I have my favorite manufacturers, but I'll support anyone who wants to go swapping paint with their own brand of V-8.
    What will it take to get Aussie Supercars to supplant NASCAR in America?

      Us Yanks only like to watch racing that involves other Yanks utilizing a maximum of two driving maneuvers, damn it!

      @@jonsuttle8104 There are more and more of us in this newer generation of motorheads that love V8 supercars, DTM, WEC, and so on. I would LOVE an American V8 supercars series, even if it was just a couple of races at some of our tracks like Laguna Seca

    • @LouSassles

      @@ianmcguire7024 I'd love if America did something like this. Only issue would be chassis and such. I'm tired of seeing Camaro's and Mustangs go around a track. If GM and Ford kept making 4 door V8 machines, then it would be golden. But I'm totally down if Australian Supercars come to the US and do some races. The US has supplemental tracks that would be perfect for Supercars.

      I would like that, too; however, if they did that these days they would be racing junk FWD Nissans and Fords. That would be painfully boring and slow. What really needs to happen first is more basic than that. Manufacturers need to make cooler cars and more people need to start appreciating and buying decent cars.

    • @MrMightyZ
      @MrMightyZ 10 років тому +2

      Well they could race GT Falcons or XR6 turbos and V8 Commodores and WRXs and Evos, it would be freaking awesome!

      Production car racing does exist, it just doesn't have a big following now.

    • @MrMightyZ
      @MrMightyZ 9 років тому

      callum mclachlan yes of course you're right Callum but it would be truly great to see it become the leading category in Aus and get V8 Supercar sized money. I feel like too many of the potential audience are dazzled by the bright colours and loud noise of the Supercars. But I believe it could be packaged to appeal to the one-eyed Holden VS Ford loudmouthed lowest common denominator types as well as true car fans.

    Aussie V8 series shouldn't allow a manufacture run unless they actually offer a rwd v8 to the public.

      but isn't the car ran a maxima? Like ford strapping a turbo longitudinally mounted engine and awd driveline in the Fiesta and running WRC. Its not offered, Subaru and Mitsubishi were the last manufactures to do so legitimately.

      Packaging usually, a push rod motor though less efficient reduces complexity and simplifies packaging in the car and not to mention maintenance an what not.

    Touring cars a great category but no there's fuck all in common now with production cars. That's just not the case anymore and for many years. The level of parity has made it boring.

    Thinly disguising supercars as production cars is ridiculous. How stupid do you have to be to think "ooh Holden won, Holden's are cool" I own an l98 Calais and it's a beauty but it's got nothing to do with a supercar

    • @MrMightyZ
      @MrMightyZ 10 років тому

      True and watch what happens when a Supercar gets stuck into a wall at 90k and bounces off! It goes back to the shed for a new nose and a rebuild! The actual factory cars would be written off in a hundred more pieces. There are many clues for the average punter but folks still believe a Holden or Ford winning is some reflection on their own cars. It beggars belief man.
