    Not only is this a great tutorial for teaching what a shimmy is, why its powerful, and how to do it... it's also a great training mode tutorial. Well done.

    This is so great! A very useful tool to learn how to shimmy. Plus, I had absolutely NO idea about the "Replay Interval Settings". This gives a lot more amplitude to what I can do in the training room. Thanks for this!

    2:58, so that's what the interval settings are for! Interval 6 is the same as delayed throw tech. Thank you!

    I'm stuck in Diamond / Super Diamond purgatory. I can beat people around my skill level rather consistently but anyone that's higher ranked I always seem to lose more often than win. Watching pros or commentators explain certain tactics like this is definitely helpful. Keep posting videos like this!

    OMG! Every time I saw a new video Infexious posted, I was like:"Oh another tutorial? Hmm, Shimmy? OK I know that." Then I still decide to watch it to support him. Then somewhere in the middle of the video, I was like:" OMG! Really? How could I don't know that trick/tech/skills?" THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME! And I followed those suggestions and practiced, I felt like I progressed A LOT! Mr. Infexious, you must give me your support account and I need to gift/support to appreciate your help. It definitely saved my precious training time, seriously.

    Shimmies are probably the most under used underrated techniques even people who don’t normally throw tech usually have the reaction to throw when you shimmy or even neutral jump. Very powerful tool.

    Funny story I’m an ultra Diamond I learned how to shimmy accidentally playing against Someone online who did nothing but throw tech on wake up. So i ran into him like 4 or 5 times that day and got a feel for it. I couldn’t figure out how to get the dummy to do what I wanted good tutorial bro.

    first step, explain that it is a shimmy, right at the beginning of the video, I am an old player and I know what it is, but many who are hungry for content to improve in sf6 do not know, by explaining it at the beginning before anything else, you will improve retention of those views. Good Video Bro.

    • @infexiousdc
      @infexiousdc  3 роки тому +1

      I think you're referring to target combos, like Ryu's standing medium punch into standing heavy punch? They all have varied timings, so you have to treat each one differently. Practice the timing of the target combo you want to use in training mode and become familiar with it. Mashing is almost never the answer...unless it's for a wake up dragon punch lol

    Very cool video. But just a small tip. I understand the concept, but when i showed it to my newbie friend, he didn't get why Ryu was punched there. He couldn't see the whiff throw because Ken punish was very fast. Maybe slow-mo the first time it happened so New player can understand this better.
    Also when you do stuffs regarding Frame or Quick animation, i'd imagine freezing at some key frame or slow-mo would get the point across more clearly.

    I'm on platinum on modern in sf6 on modern by Luke. When I start playing in neutral to go for big combos, I just outplay me in terms of shortness and the neutral fight will quickly end not in my favor. When I play defensively, the likes of Ken start spamming me with attacks and I don't always get good counter holes. In short, my game is reduced to light and medium combinations.
