- EPISODE 142
Manatees...Dolphins... Hammerheads... AND a talking turtle!? Disney really does have everything. When most people think of EPCOT, you might think of technological advancements, Guardian of the Galaxy, food comas, and a giant spaceship golf ball. However, us zoo enthusiasts flock towards their aquarium. The Seas with Nemo and Friends, formerly the Living Seas, was added to the land's Future World in 1986 - depicting an underwater research center. After years of decline in attendance, Disney looked towards the success of Finding Nemo and re-themed the aquarium into what we see today.
The pre-show features an engaging ride that takes guests on Clam-Mobiles through an underwater journey where Finding Nemo's beloved characters are placed into the aquarium's main tank using Disney Magic. Once you embark into the main aquarium - or Seabase Alpha, one of the must-do attractions is Turtle Talk with Crush. A one of a kind experience that uses advanced technology, prerecorded and improvised lines to bring everyone's favorite sea turtle to life. If you have a question for him, he'll answer it in the most righteous way possible!
The main highlight of The Seas is its massive 5.7-million-gallon saltwater tank, making it one of the largest aquariums in the world, and the world's largest aquarium when the pavilion opened. As visitors wander directly THROUGH the saltwater display, they are greeted by a mesmerizing underwater panorama filled with vibrant coral reefs, tropical fish, sea turtles, sharks, and even dolphins.
Overall, the Seas Pavilion provides an enchanting and educational experience, highlighting the wonders of the ocean and its diverse marine inhabitants. Whether you're a marine enthusiast, a Disney fan, or simply seeking an unforgettable adventure, The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a must-visit attraction that promises to leave you in awe of the beauty and importance of our underwater world.

- For like the 10th time, without Johnny, this episode wouldn’t have been nearly as extensive as it turned out to be - so please Subscribe to his upcoming educational channel Wild and Magical World of Florida - ua-cam.com/channels/u8nk85ZVaKGuNEk16V62eQ.html

- I only hinted Dolphins may have been displayed where the manatees are today because of this photo, however, I could not find a single link that mentioned this - 3.bp.blogspot.com/-pPHM_1EKCyI/T865LFKdmpI/AAAAAAAAAEU/MxFlmo8jEe4/s1600/Epcot_stitch+copy.jpg

- So what are the first, second, and third largest aquatic displays in America? It should be Georgia Aquarium’s Ocean Voyager, and SeaWorld San Diego’s and Orlando’s Orca Encounters.
The Seas with Nemo and Friends has the most underrated themed queue ever!
I love this aquarium. It’s one of my favorites I always go here first when In Epcot
I remember the Living Seas from my one trip to EPCOT, it was one of my favorite things there...I'd assumed that the majority of it was built underground with the hydrolators actually being elevators for downward.
I'd also assumed recently that the dolphins they used to have there were transferred to their one "resort park" thing that had/has a swim with the dolphins thing with Discovery Cove
*After finishing the video and seeing the sneak peak of the next episode*
Welcome to the Big Apple.
I wouldn’t expect to see this place on a zoo tors series so it a very nice surprise!
I was waiting all day
My favorite Disney attraction is probably the entire Animal Kingdom!
Same with me!
@@ransonhorse534hi
Animal kingdom was the first time I saw a African elephant,I’m proud
@@Ratstare i think the first time i saw one was Indianapolis
Fun fact- One of the animatronic sharks used in Jaws was nicknamed Bruce by the staff way before Disney ever used that name for Bruce from Finding Nemo.
I’m guessing the next episodes will be one of the exhibits where the proboscis monkey used to live which is now home for Javan langurs (JungleWorld)
I used to work with those dolphins :)
I loved this place when I went there in 2007. I don't remember seeing hammerhead sharks, but I remember the dolphins and manatees. I wasn't expecting manatees to be there, and it was like a big smack to the face since I thought those were only in SeaWorld. Florida, I mean since the last time I went there was in Ohio and there were no manatees there.
I loved the orginal Living Seas and I think the Nemo theme detracts from EPCOT's overall theme and experience. And I don't think it's well executed. However, there's no denying that thr aquarium itself is still fantastic and no EPCOT trip is complete without checking out at least a few of the exhibits.
I hope you will return to Disney’s animal Kingdom. Because there’s more to see!
Something interesting is Tarpin can survive in stagnant waters by gulping air from the surface. They’ve been known to travel into mangrove swamps at high tide and during low tide when oxygen levels are lower they can gulp air from the surface allowing them to remain far for active then the smaller fish they hunt.
I miss going to Disney World
My favorite was magic kingdom, animal kingdom and downtown Disney and I don’t have a favorite ride since I like all but I really liked the Kilimanjaro safari.
Sea turtles are my favorite cause their ancient marine reptiles, so glad that they have greens and loggerheads❤❤❤❤❤👍
Thanks for sharing! I learned so much, even though I have already seen the exhibit before. Can’t wait to go back in a couple months.
awsome! a zoo exhibit named after my favortie movie, and made close to the day of my birthday to!
Swell! Been there, since it's originally called The Living Seas! Say, Zak, visit the Woodland Park Zoo soon! Also, 3 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend....
1) What new exhibit attraction is the SF Zoo building for the future?
2) What are the names of the SF Zoo's 2 chimpanzees that passed away from the past few years?
3) What are the names of the Oakland Zoo's 2 zebras that passed away from the last few years?
I could spend hours at The Seas.
I would love ❤ to go to the seas with nemo and friends Im shocked that disney world had dolphins how would thought
second
Magical video, Zach! My family and I are going back to Walt Disney World in December for Christmas, and this video is making me excited for EPCOT
You’re going to absolutely ENJOY being at Walt Disney World in Florida! Trust me, I’ve been there TWICE, and enjoyed it!
While y’all are there, you should go explore Downtown Disney, and play on one of the two mini-golf courses down there
THANKYOU===YOUR AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should try dieren park Amersfoort in the Netherlands Im gonne be a guide there starting in winter
I’m gonna say the answer to the stingray question is a southern stingray!
Very nicely kept aquariums, but a trip to any live fish store for the marine aquarium hobby actually have far more species. Every fish you see here that is under 4" long is common in the aquarium hobby.
😁😁🦁😊😊
That's why I want to go to epoct
This is probably a difficult question, Zak, but do you have a favorite individual animal in Cincinnati?
Speaking of dolphins 🐬, did you know there’s also dolphins at Brookfield Zoo?
wait, disney has a great and scalloped hammerhead?
At no point does it say great or do they say great. When does he say that?
You should Go to the Bronx zoo
Well judging by what’s going to be in the next video I think we’re all in for some good news😀
First
OUR ZOO CLOSED THE AQUARIUM AND VERY SADLY NO PLANS FOR NEW ONE!!!!!!!!!!
You need to go back to Omaha
Little Mermaid live action remake
