@@last7509 They're both just really experienced with the matchup. Guile is pretty strong against Akuma in general and Daigo used to win against Tokido pretty much every time they played. He just got a lot better against Daigo's Guile over time so now it's a tossup generally.

Finally a decent win for Daigo, its been a long time coming, for such a gifted player he looses far to often as he doesn't put everything he has into the win, instead ops for 70% attack mode and 30% learning, as great as that may be, in a tournament he needs the full 100...hey but 2hqt do I know right, I'm just a fan, and the icing on the cake was defeating Tokido, an awesome player with Akuma and another fan favourite of mine.
Daigo has always been a force to be reckon with when it comes to long sets... Because once he gets the download, he can crank up his gears to fit the match... But, he is a very logical player so it is both his strength and weakness... Coz, in a regular tournament setting with FT2 anyone can score a win against him specially by playing a risky random approach, as he is constantly thinking that a good player will never do this or that in a certain scenario and this catches him off guard, and with only FT2 he has no time to adjust. Like Tokido said in an interview when fighting Daigo there is no special approach... just do it. LMAO
@@ccg2301 couldn't agree more mate, like you said hes always thinking, people think hes boring to watch, I think the total opposite and love watching him play, even when you think you have him beat he can come out of the corner with combo that'll make your eyes water, absolute insane player, so much more to him than winning, hes constantly thinking new ways of playing pushing his Guile to the limits..but unfortunately that also can be his downfall, if he kept things simple in my opinion he would win far more often. It'll be nice to see him back with Ryu or even try Ken, I'd like to see what he could do with them. Because of watching Daigo I'm now playing Guile myself.
Everyone says Daigo is washed but he is the primary reason why there's no FT10 in the official tourney. Tokido also tried FT10 him not a long while ago and ended up crying. Not a bitchy sniffy cry but a real tears of inadequacy. Just like how normal boxers couldn't land a hit on Muhammed Ali.
@@RichterBelmont2235 if the tournaments played FT10 Daigo I'm sure would win far more as it takes him a little while, but all the time he's learning how to beat his opponent, not just physically but mentally which is why he's the beast, he gets in their heads and punishes them from the inside out, I want to see that Daigo again.
