It‘s extremely great how each character is being represented by an different instrument in all of his songs, so take the ones like trombone or tuba for characters like adam and for charlie or emily violin or piano, which mirrors their identity perfectly is genius I love this concept this truly is EPIC

Ngl you changed the way i viewed the epic version with this one with vocals.
The start/first third of Poison is meant to sound light, fun, and like you wanna jam to it, because that's ehat Angel tries to do with the situation. He tries his best to make good of a personal hell, and it gradually becomes about how he's trying to make the best out of a bad situation, instead of it being a good situation where he's set and made. Then, it gets worse and worse, until at the end, it's about how he really can't take it anymore, and hasn't been able to for a *long* time. How it used to be “easy”, and nothing's changed, and yet he still continues to feel worse and worse.
