As someone from Florida (south florida specifically) it brought me so much joy to see how accurately depicted the trailer was with the environment. Definitely excited for this addition.

It’s a Bonnie and Clyde situation. Two lovers who are partners in crime and gang related missions. Don’t know if their in a gang but, definitely will have gangster and thugs in the narrative.
Maybe there met each other in a gang, fell in love, and ran away from the criminal organization. Sounds a cool plot if it were so. But knowing Rockstar it’ll be something else and just as cool or more!
@@The-Snake-Gear I just hope there is more focus on cliques/gangs. Gta 5 was a good story and wild side missions but, the only gang related stuff was with Franklin and Trevor with the biker gang. They don’t have to be saints row but, being more gang related adds to the genre and feel. Never played online so I don’t know if you can make/join gangs online. I am sure the story and all characters will be wild and good. And even if they miss their online, random npcs, and the map will definitely save them rep reguardless.

E: Story insight - you play as two protagonists, Jason and Lucia (the two at the end/the lady in prison). The story is a bonnie & clyde type thing where you both go on robberies together, but I think that's all we know so far til R* give us more info

I mean, I want to say after maybe GTA 4, the girls were no longer objectified. Although in 4, the protagonist Niko can go on dates with women and depending how it goes you can have a good ending or a bad ending, but they all have personality to them. Like one chick will legitimately stalk you if you're going on dates with other women while you're dating her. Another runs a blog and will blog her dates with you.

This trailer was just awesome. I loved how it specifically focused on the environment and game world itself (something which Rockstar Games is known for in all their games). Vice City is coming back after a decade with it's last appearance in GTA Vice City Stories during the PS2 days so seeing Vice City in the HD GTA universe after Liberty City from GTA 4 and Los Santos from GTA 5 feels great. This game is gonna be packed with details and I must say, they got the vibe and music right in the whole trailer with the current times we are living in.

I mean, GTA is a videogame saga where the main point is to ridiculize and make a parody of everything. Cultures, fashion, etc. And obviously rockstar does not care if you are a woman and get offended because the point is parodying the whole "American" experience.

In GTA 5 there's three main characters and a mechanic for switching between them on the fly. I think it's pretty much guaranteed that these two characters are your playable protagonists.
Seems like a safe bet. One is the better shooter (like Michael), one is the better driver (like Franklin). A duo makes this mechanic a much easier synergy for GTA; Trevor's special ability (unlike the other two's slow-mo) always felt sort of like an after-thought.

I think the "women being objects" reputation is a massive overexageration...The games are first and foremost about criminals and the main protagonists so far have been male, so yes.. You can go to strip clups, yes you cant get a prostitute..Is it a focus of the game? Absolutely not, you are not encouraged nor required to do any of those.. The game doesnt go out of its way to portray women in a bad light not at all, its not its focus.
And well the latest entry thus far GTA V, I mean one of the main characters literally has family, wife and two kids...Another character is into a woman that doesnt want him.
My favorite game from the series is GTA San Andreas and basically one of the "most wise" characters in that plot is CJ's (main characters) sister Kendl..One of the most badass and loose canon characters in the game is Catalina (who is the antagonist in GTA 3).
I just cant agree with it. I think the games get this reputation because of this "running joke". Pay a prostitute and get your money back by killing them. And well thats not the games focus at all.
The games are what you make them..I never visited a stripclub or paid a prostitute in those games, because im not 12 to thirst over animated characters. hahah
I wouldn't say it's an overexageration. The first games were definitely treating women as objects, I'd even argue Catalina was treated as one. GTA often play on stereotypes and overrexagerates them, one of those stereotypes being that criminals treat women like objects (like rap songs having very objectifying lyrics etc). When GTA IV came out they started to slowly change it and make it a little better. GTA V does a decent job I'd say. Also, you say it's free will if you wanna enter a strip club but it's not. Some missions do take place in there so you're kinda forced to go there. Don't have a problem with strip clubs existing in the game etc and I do agree with you that the games are what you make them. It would just be nice to get some more well-written female characters in the game. Seeing as the latest games in this series have been a step in the right direction I'm hoping this female protagonist will be a perfect example of a well-written female character.
And it is just a reflection of reality. Yes, you can grab a whore at the side of the street. Yes, you can go in strip club. And yes, apparently you can get lucky with the strippers. And where is the issue. Some people enjoy consuming it. Some people enjoy providing it. There is nothing "objectifying" about a women selling her body, because that woman already considers her body a commodity - and the ultimate reason for that is secondary in that instance. so long she isn't literally forced under the threat of violence or terror, it is fair game.
In all instances of the game we are talking about consenting adults displaying their bodies and selling their services by their own devices. If we go and call that "objectifying" we need to have a serious talk about pools and beaches and how nowhere there should ever be more to see than an ankle.
Btw, there is a gameplay reason to get a whore, at least up until San Andreas: they healed 1hp per dollar or so.
Not to mention the series is mainly satirical, it's a big parody of life. From the main narrative to in-game radio talk shows, everything makes fun of real life society, by taking real issues and stretching them to ridiculous extents. Any depiction of racism/sexism/emotional violence is actually used cleverly and very much on purpose. If R* was being actually racist they would have been out of business 2 decades ago.
@@KomninosA7X Yes I agree completely with you, that's what I was trying to say with "GTA often plays on stereotypes". They're not doing it because they're sexist, it's a stereotype they're playing into and they're being satirical. That being said I can see how it is seen as "women being objects" and with the first games, I do agree with it. The women in the game don't really get a story compared to the men. That's what I'm hoping we'll get in GTAVI, a good female character, with flaws and all. Just like the previous main characters. I'm also hoping they will keep going with the satirical stereotype theme they've been doing for years. You can do both.
I haven't really thought about this before, but I'm not remembering there being much of a female presence in GTA games, especially not well-written female characters, except Kendall.
And all that I'm immediately remembering is: Woman betraying the protagonist in some way, prostitutes, strippers, cheating wife, and annoying daughter.
Hopefully, GTA VI gives us a well-written, memorable and lovable female protagonist. And I have a feeling she will be.

I think your talking about the Hot Coffee mod, back then, when it was discovered GTA SA was given an AO ( Adults Only ) rating and because of this places like Game Stop are not allowed to sell AO games. So the developers made some adjustments bringing the rating back down to M ( Mature Audiences )

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames they basically just flipped a switch to turn off the adult minigame in the code so most may not even have known about it, just some people with hacked console managed to turn it on and thus you werent able to return it because it was discovered.

The reputation you were told is not actually really true, the games are just good stories, whoever said that about GTA, hasn't played most of the GTA games, at all. There's a lot of shit people say about GTA without even knowing what they're talking about, I've seen people say "GTA is bad because it lets you rape women" when it's completely not true. The games are just stories about criminals, that's mostly it.

IV is better. But they need to play both, it's in the same universe. There will be easter eggs in VI and characters returning. And I think they need to immerse themselves a bit in the GTA HD universe before playing GTAVI.

I started out on vice city! I'm so happy to get back there!!
I would heavily recommend doing a gta5 playthrough as there will be tons of content for you to enjoy and give commentary on in the story mode alone. I and I'm sure many others would be very interested to hear your personal takes on each of the three characters individual stories as the game progresses.
Franklin has a great rags to riches theme to his journey as he finds out that moving up in the world doesn't always mean leaving people behind.
Michael is struggling to be a family man when the only life he's ever know is one of crime, and leaving that behind is something he isn't quite sure he wanted.
Trevor is someone who has been wronged by almost everyone he's ever known and has developed an extremely volatile personality as a result. His story is one about trying to recapture the glory days and ultimately find out who his friends really are.
I do sincerely hope you guys consider playing this for the channel or at least maybe finding a cutscene compilation for it as the story is genuinely good with lots of laughs and surprisingly some life lessons.
We do plan to play it. It’s a huge game and we should experience it before GTA VI even if the stories aren’t related 😅

In GTA V they introduced a character swapping mechanic, which allowed them to have 3 protagonists: Franklin, Michael and Trevor. The player was able to swap between the three characters freely and free roam around and do their respective stories separately, while the main narrative usually included the three. Missions that envolved the three characters allowed the player to freely swap in the middle of the mission to any of them, seeing and playing it from each characters point of view. My assumption is GTA VI will keep this mechanic, allowing to swap and play the story with both the female and male characters.
Narrative wise, they seem to be going with a Bonnie and Clyde vibe, where the two protagonist characters either develop a romantic relationship as the story develops or already start as a couple. Considering how certain decisions in GTA V affected the relationships between the protagonists, ending up having different endings, Im assuming the dynamic for this game will be the same.

GTA is a giant parody on american culture. and that was always the funny thing about all these skandals in the past: gta is a representation of amercia but in a comedic (simmilar to south park) kinda way. so in reality it is american culture thats problematic, not the game

GTA tackles real life issues and political controversy with satire. The game may seem to be objectifying women and murder but that's the point the developers are trying to bring to the light. GTA 6 is trying to show how we are now addicted social media.

Its a 2 character seamless system like 5 has with 3. The girl is fresh out of prison and the guy is an undercover cop who by the end turns against the law for their love (my guess based on footage).
There was a huge development footage leak about 2 years ago and the trailer cleared up a lot of wishes for me personally and Im super happy it comes out next year and not like 2028 or later.

1:34, 1:35, 1:39, 1:41, 1:45, 1:48, 1:56, are all taken from real life incidents, although 1:48 is the only one that didn't happen in Florida, it happened in Los Angeles. A reaction video to all the real life moments in the GTA 6 trailer would be cool.

It’s been a long time since I played a GTA game and witness it’s glory during PS2 Era with me playing Vice City at a very young age during my pre-Teen years. As seeing the location coming back in GTA 6 is going to be flipping amazing and beautiful 😭 I hope it be amazing to see the Neon City again and branch more locations to explore. As for favorite part must be the “Alligators scenes” as it speaks out Florida vibes. 😂
So I heard that this game is going to be like Bonnie and Clyde scenario with our two main characters. Also we aren’t going to be getting any British, American and English speakers in this part of the game. As we going to be getting some Southerners/Hispanic to African natives in this game, but I can hear it false rumors. So let’s wait and see more moments with this game till more news pop up.

All the "negative" stuff about gta you can do by choice unless it's part of the story. Those who play the game specifically for Killing a bunch of citizens, police having sex with prostitutes and then killing them however they like the list is endless.but there is so much more you can do, stuff you could never afford in real life you can enjoy in gta. It can be a really fun game depending on how you choose to play.
And I think that’s the best way to put it. The game offers you all kinds of way to play so it’s up to you how depraved you want to (or don’t care to be 🤗)

If there is one thing we know for sure, seeing GTA 6 take place in Vice feels like somewhat of a love letter to Florida. I hope that the story is well written and driven, as well as online, and a bunch more than we’d expect at first glance. But I won’t hold my breath until another trailer comes with a pre-order window…
After waiting ten whole years, we finally get Florida the video game. This trailer was so good and everything looks great. Sucks it'll be out in 2025 though (i'm thinking a summer release if not by spring) but it'll be worth the wait. Let's goooo

Here is some info about GTA 6: GTA 6 takes place in vice city (Miami, Florida). The main protagonist are Lucia and Jason. As shown in the trailer they are a couple giving the GTA 6 story a Bonnie and Clyde Aspect. As for internals and story I haven’t found much other that they are using a better red dead redemption 2 engine so the game will be very detailed and if the game is anything like what they showed should make the game have beautiful graphics and complex physics like hair physics. Overall it sucks we’ll have to wait a year to play the game but it will be worth it!

I was waiting for this trailer ever since they have announced about it on X and just when it came out I was so hyped to see how things are in the video. I don't mind it'll soon release somewhere in 2025 but one thing I wish to happen before the initial date release is that they'll going to release the demo version of the game so that at least everyone can have their own first experience. Although, this game has been the most anticipated we've been waiting for years.

I still recommend playing IV and V, because it's all in the same universe with easter eggs and some characters returning, there will probably be some in GTAVI. All the parodies of brands and characters are great. The story and protagonists are great. I just think that you need to play those games. GTAIV is my favorite in the series the story is fantastic. I hope you guys play it. 🙏😅

GTA V really is fun. You can play online or in a private session to discover everything on the map. It's pretty fun to golf, play tennis, do random things and run a biker gang or business. It's just that good and clearly GTA 6 will be ten times better

This game is going to be epic, can't wait. GTA never disappoints. As to your question, in GTA V you could play with three different characters and switch between them, sometimes freely chosing with which one you want to play and sometimes they would had individual personal missions that you would have to play with a certain character. I wouldn't be surprised if in GTA VI we could switch between the male and female character, either at will or depending on a mission or play both at the same time like in V you could play 3 characters at the same time in some missions. But it could also be that you play as female, which BTW would be a first for a GTA game, and her male companion is one of the main NPC characters that just tags along. I would be fine either way because nothing is going to deter me from playing this game, just like every single GTA game before it. It is one of the best and most popular game franchises there is for a reason after all
most gta story don't even focus on abusing women, the story will always start off as a bang and life of a criminal and gradually showing the player how the deeper you go into crime the harder the consequences will be for you and the people around you. but you know gaming journalist probably don't even finish the game before writing their hate articles.

I think it's kind of funny that GTA has the reputation it does, mainly because none of the main characters really act like that, those are the behaviors of the people who play the main characters in free roam. Since GTA 3, they have been heavy satires of American culture, and the stories are always crime capers, with GTA IV having the most mature story of them all; I'd say it's more accurate to say the players of GTA have a bad reputation, the narratives and characters are great!
Have heard IV and V have great and complex characters. Looking forward to playing those games. And as we said, it was just the reputation and not experience playing it. 🤗
After RDR2 i cant wait to see what they do with the open world for GTA 6. RDR2 trailer has 22million views and GTA6 trailer has been around two days now and is way passed that. GTA is such a crazy selling game.
I don't think GTA was ever really explicitly sexist in the way you're suggesting. A lot of the games' satirical writing is making fun of various stereotypes but it's really just mocking American culture in general and how ridiculous it seems to the rest of the world (the writers are British/Scottish).
