I don't like VJ Edgecombe being labeled a PG prospect. He even said himself that he doesn't want to be a PG. His game is mostly off ball. He prefers to be a primary scorer.
Derek, I see Jordan Monaco from S.I. has a very recent breakdown of Liam, and it echoes my thoughts. I saw Montverde a bunch last year and my early impressions were he was a gunner who basically fired when ready. But as the season progressed he matured and was a very effective driver. Great size and confident. Something like a much more complete Doug McDermott who should play immediately. I’m a big Rylan fan and also enjoy your excellent analysis. The Thunder should take another large step especially from the two new guys and from Chet and Cason who might be the biggest surprise.
Liam would be a super fun fit with OKC considering how many on-ball scorers the team already has. Stoked to cover them this season, should be a fun one!
@@derek-parker Thanks. When I first watched him a couple of years ago I thought he had limitations but he has improved dramatically and is a big boy. We need a little draft luck with out ties to the Clippers, and I think the Rockets. I see him a much better Doug McDermott. The Thunder is fortunate to have so many knowledgeable journalists, and although I am now 84 (I go back to George Mikan,) I have a crush on Paris Lawson but don’t tell her. It’s permissible since I have been married blissfully for 54 years.
After the initial faulty Nike Hoop Summit measurements, they got it right the next day. There with accurate measurements, Edgecombe measured at 6'5' in shoes, with a 6'6' wingspan, and was nearly at 190 lbs. That is not on the small side for a point guard. In fact, it's perfect for a combo guard, for which he is.
Wemby isn’t really a forward. They tried that at the beginning of the season and he didn’t look comfortable until after moving him to center. He will be playing center going forward based on what we have seen
If you can think Ace Bailey gonna go that low and that’s your opinion, which shows you have some balls, but when you still think Cooper flag will be the number one draft pick it let me know you are following all the numb nuts.
I agree. Something that is missing. My sneaky pick, especially for the Thunder is Liam McNeely from UConn. Should be top ten but I would move up to snare him. He is an aggressive player who has developed a handle. Could be 45% three shooter.

Harper is going to be really good
Ace is the 1st pick!!!!!
Why u got ace that low? I don’t have him over VJ
Funny how most of us are all projecting Khaman to land in Toronto, love it lmao

This draft is trash. You think Blazers are going #7?
Gtfo here.
Can the Bulls get the #1 pick? This is the year
Ace going 6 is sick work!
Nolan is good 💯

That's good news, was wondering about that. Who took the new measurements?
@@derek-parker Don't know who it was that took the measurements.
Tre johnson at #3 is pretty high. I think theres more guards that bring more to the table imo
I just don’t think Edgecomb can play with Thompson and Holland
All that athleticism and no shooting
@@joshbrudI feel like Ace Bailey is the obvious pick in that scenario for Detroit
I think I might go Traore and switch Cade to secondary point forward
Try to get him off ball more
Love the bold takes that deviate from the current consensus. Still really early obviously but it’s great to see some variation of thought!

Why would the bulls get another guard
No world where Ace isn’t top 3

Sleeping on Bailey is stupid
Exactly 💯
How do you not have Will Riley from Ilinois on your draft board
Finally, someone else that doesn’t have Ace Bailey as the sure fire #2 guy
Well he is the 2nd best player arguably a better player than cooper
@@mikeysbusyno way he’s better than cooper, also personally I think harper is more polished and complete right now then Bailey.
hi derek parker

VJ I feel like is a little overrated. He’s a great defender for his size but I don’t think his offensive game has enough harmony to be a lead guard.

Good vid. Is there someone like elite perimeter defender type of wing in this draft?
