Thanks for posting this wonderfully candid study. As my British hosts would say, 'it calls a spade a spade.' Prostitution should be legal and respected everywhere. Then it would be regulated and safer and more fun.
Captain Franco....no, actually. What should happen is that there is no longer any gay prostitution in Greek society, or elsewhere for that matter, until 'straight' men confront the fact, whether they are married or not, that they want sex with other men. It's not going to happen, of course, but let''s 'call a spade a spade'.
Is it any different in Greece than in any other country?
This is an interesting documentary. Some candid and honest men are interviewed. I found it insightful.

i agree , some men denies the truth that they are becoming gays sooner not just doing it for money but liking what they do with the same sex.
Enormously interesting and worthwhile, if very sad. Two things: the translator did a wonderful job, but got it wrong when he termed it 'racism', when it should have been 'ageism', that is, the lust of the beautiful young male body - which is endemic to all Eastern and Western gay thinking. And: it's unclear if condoms are ever used, which is frightening in its implications.

Since before 2013 there has been a huge explosion in online chat rooms etc. Any survey of prostitution, gay or otherwise needs to include that.

I've changed my mind. I'll visit Greece in Dec or January (if it's not below 5 C, the AC will be on until it is freezing or below freezing in my room) and if I find a female. It must also be overcast a/o snowing with cold winds and tall glaciated mountains. shit, i'm describing alaska again. I sitll won't find a female prostititute either way.

Reading the comments on this video it boggles the mind that in this day and age of information overload there are people who have little or no grasp of the human sexual orientation. The term "gay" connotes more than a sexual orientation ... it denotes a lifestyle. Gay men and women do not only prefer sex with members of the same sex but also fall in love with them, marry them and make a life with them. This is true for the term 'straight' as well. A straight man falls in love only with a woman, marries only a woman and has a family with a woman only. But there is a caveat to human sexual preferences, viz; they may operate independent of their emotional connection, meaning these preferences do not function on a rigid bandwidth. On that spectrum, there are more denominations than rigid hetero and homosexualities. There are straight men who are strictly averse to any sexual connection with another man, and it is these men who we commonly refer to when we use the term "straight." But there is an identified category of straight men who are not averse to homosexual liaison -- the "heteroflexible" -- whose prime sexual inclination is toward women but who are open to homosexual sex as long as it comprises a sexual outlet minus its emotional connection. These men are different from bisexuals since they do not seek homosexual liaison as an alternative preference with an emotional trigger. So yes a man may have sex with another man and rightfully believe that he is straight.
I don’t understand the Greek language. So male prostitution is legal? The guy I was from the side at 35 years old is rather old unless he is only a top? The average Greek man in the USA is outspoken and can be rude. What has happened to the Greece 🇬🇷 economy?
I did a google search on the Greece economy and it is very bad.
Apparently, this is only one view presented of many in every country.....and too a quick way to make a dollar and perhaps work less and a means of setting your own hours or not.... However, it's definitely not a way to make a living with quality of life and definitely the worst way.... Hence, create your own job instead of placing hopes on any state...or go where employees are needed etc... But yes, folks whom are abused and those that abuse perhaps don't understand power and powerless and hope and hopelessness and have no way of getting out...so it's as real as government works or is futile and as futile as any union (work union I mean)....but then again...why didn't immigration work...because other government will outnumber greece at being a total failure at government and we call them developping countries....or third world countries... So government and unions can be whores for money and power without being whores or doing it all in the work place just like poverty does the same in the third world country and the developping country even within the context of government and work..just in case you thought everyone was unemployed... However, it's not up to the employed to create jobs...nor is it up to government nor is it up to unions...those continue to be ideals...real life has it...there aint enough...and when there is some hoard or some work harder and some work and some are dispropriated for fun, bullying and power issues....tschuup, tschuup, tschuup...sure it sounds like china. I'm a exagerating.

Believe me, I don`t mean to be rude. I know about call boys who service women but I never heard about gay prostitutes. I must be living in a cave.
I'm 80 years old and have lived in New York, Paris, Rome, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Berlin and have paid boys and men for money in every city since I was 19. It is everywhere, even in the smallest villages. It may not be professional there, but there are always some boys who will accept money if it's offered.
