Ive had my mantis pro 10 for a few weeks now, I weigh 240 and im shocked at how well it handles the woods. I live in the uk were scooters are still banned so I try to stay off road as much as possible. My girlfriend lives 20 miles away and it gets me there no problem and thats mostly through a huge forest, I haven't even got off road tires on it. I had a zero 10x and a Kaabo Mantis at the same time and still have the Mantis, I'm 6.1 and the higher bars on the mantis are definitely more comfortable for me. I changed the tires for 3in and it was easy with the split rim but the extension for the mudguard was not fitting any more, I had to attach it with screws on the fender.
@@GingerOnWheels it's a bit of a pain, but with 2 number 6 Allen wrenches you loosen up the bolts on the sides where the suspension is. One wrench holds it in place while the other actually comes loose. You get one side out, then with a smaller wrench and a hammer, you insert from where you unscrewed and knock it out to the other side until you can see a hole underneath the scooter's suspension. I think with a number 5 allen, you can unscrew to loosen it up and it'll expand. Only thing is that it makes the scooter a little higher off the ground.
@@BrewSir ok. So those steps remove the bolt holding the suspension on, but how do you actually adjust the suspension? Is it the same spring or aftermarket dnm type shocks?

I have DEFINITELY noticed that shorter bars give me way more control when off road or on tight dirt/gravel like trails. I'm also more nimble on crowded inner city streets & alley ways as well. It just feels like I have a much better control of the scooter overall. I used to ride with my bars as high as possible bc I'm so tall. Just always assumed that was what I was supposed to be doing, but it didn't take me long to figure out that I prefer low bars. It allows me the ability to completely control everything so much more.
Ya definitely. I'm a big guy too. Those offroad tires had the grip to stick the wheels down even on that dirt, too. A few more amps out of each controller and I'd bet it could do it. Oh well.
G’day Ginger, I bought the 2021 Mantis with the Samsung 60V x 24.5AH. I get atleast 40 miles in distance when cruising on the cycle paths about 20 miles per hour. I absolutely love this scooter. I haven’t taking it on any off road trails yet, however after watching this video and seeing what the Mantis is capable of off road, I might give it a big go. Hey, did your battery last till you got home??? Love all your videos Bro. A big cheers from Perth, Australia 🇦🇺
Yup. The battery lasted about 200m away from my house so, just about. Thats pretty high range for the 24ah battery. You must be a light rider. Even with the Wolf's 35ah battery I only get upper 40's milage.
I have 3" wide off road tires on, Im getting 30 - 36 miles per charge on my 60V 24,5Ah mantis pro, also no creaking stem at any point after 1800 miles 🤔
Thanks for sharing an awesome blast today and glad you got to try a Surron off script lol.. interesting that you didn't a get or a blow out on the SE given the terrain you subjected it too
Nice, I did some trail riding on my review as well. I should have tried the offroad tires, the stock tires and firm suspension made anything beyond smooth paths not super fun. I could hear that really touchy throttle response which is why I also rode mostly in Eco/Dual. Great point on the tall bars, I didn't experience much noise or flex at my weight of 175lbs.
So I've seen mixed thoughts. How is the stem and handlebar? Has the wobble been fixed? My wife ordered it for my first scooter and want to keep it since she sick.
I love your tests, pretty thorough. More jumps would be awesome, something is bound to break eventually and we can find the weak points! VoroMotors sure has gone down hill lately though.
Yeah voro has had a hard time changing to their new facility and maintaining the level of service we are used to. They are all moved in now though and hopefully things go back to normal soon.
I have 1700 miles on my Mantis Pro SE and still not a single flat. It makes me think that my worn-out stock tires are impenetrable so I'm hesitant to change it ahaha. But I'm gonna change it to the 3 inch off road tires anyways just to not miss out the experience.
I love those surrons, i want a Segway XT260 really bad but maybe down the road because they are not cheap, and not many places to ride. They get a lot of hate on trails (technically illegal) and they are not legal on the roads/bike trails either so they aren't practical.
Are the tires easy to change? I have the Wolf King and I currently have the city tires on it, but I have the nobby's.... Can you make a video on changing the tires?

Cool video! I just got my Mantis Pro SE the other week and I’m loving it so far, the scooter is a beast. Is there any cons for using off-road tires on the street?
The offroad tires are actually technically hybrid tires and they do REALLY well on the street. I love the 3" tires, I recommend them highly to all mantis owners.
Good stuff an much appreciated the time you take to do these videos. In my opinion scooter company's use off road as a sales pitch. Most companies barely stock replacement parts hard to get tires an tubes. Why would they suggested to ride a scooter off road an do not stock the appropriate part that will break in a crash. Stem an handlebars, lower swing arm, repairable locking mechanism. If you crashed that scooter could you repair it from the part the company offers?
Voromotors usually has stock of any part you might need. Thats one of the advantages of buying from US based sellers. Off Road on this scooter is clearly no gimmick.
Did You fix the issue - the noise coming from the stem? I have the same problem on my Mantis and can’t really find a solution. Already tried another stem collar but the noise is still there.
Hey look no flats, looks like the hybrid tires did the job. If you do want better suspension, get air shocks by DNM. It can change a lot of about your ride.
@@GingerOnWheels 165mm I think, I do know that Zero 10x clones are very similar. To that effect shouldn't they be able to share parts? I personally have hybrid tires, that were marketed for Zero 10x and Kaabo Mantis on my Blade 10.

I’m trying to find a escooter or ebike that can manage a steep up hill, that if I have to push will not be too heavy for me, I’m 5 foot 4 inch. I love the look of the wolf but it probably has too much power for what I need as I will be going relatively slow hikes with the dogs as they stop to sniff and poop but there will be running too. Walks are not long distance 6 km. Just need something that will holds up to steepish grass and gravel and narrow trails which are not rooty. I’m in Canada so something that will hold up to frozen ground that might be partially snowy or icy. If an ebike is better can you recommend one or another reviewer that can suggest one. Thanks again for your awesome videos, so fun to watch.

Mantis won't be a huge power upgrade from your Nanrobot. Its an upgrade but not a big one. For a legit upgrade from the D4+ you need to be specing the VSETT 10+ or better. It's okay, but you just have to take corners with much less speed. Especially if it's wet as you've got less contact with the road. I recommend hybrid tires unless you're pretty much exclusively off-road. Like these. pevoutlet.com/product/10-x-3-tires-80-65-6-tire-tube/
Just took my 2022 Mantis Pro SE today on some light off roading and loved it. Ive seen this video previously and remembered your tip on the eco mode dual motor. I actually was able to do 95% of my off roading with just the single motor! And as far as the 3” tires are concerned, I mistakenly ordered the 3” street tires (the ones that come stock on the wolf) do you recommend I abandon the 3” street altogether and go straight to the off roading ones?
Glad you're digging the mantis! I can't speak for the street 3" tires but I'm pretty sure the wolf has 4" tires and the ones for the mantis are actually a hybrid 3" tire. I definitely recommend them over offroading on the stock tire

If you don't need range, Mantis Pro SE from voromotors Or if you do then VSETT 10+r from revrides. Or emove cruiser from voro
@@GingerOnWheels out of those two which one do you like better? I like the 10+r but I like the price of the cruiser 😆
@@dev3AK the Cruiser is sooo much lamer in terms of perfomance than Vsett and dual motor mantis models,
@@-joo3033 sure looks like it!
The audio cuts from 17:36 to 17:58
What the..... thats really weird. I just checked the file I uploaded and it definitely has audio in that part but the youtube upload does not. Very odd. Thanks for pointing that out, ill try and track down what could've caused that.
hey. i saw that you already use your logo that I made. enjoy! ride safe
I gave you credit in the video after the intro 😅
@@GingerOnWheels yeah i saw it. I'm happy
What app do you use to measure you speed? I'd like to try.
That one only works when there is excellent cell coverage and is +- 2mph but its called DigiHUD
@@GingerOnWheels Thanks man
Has now finally got my Wolf Warrior 11+. I'm reasonably sure it's so incredibly much better than this scooter being tested here.😉
