Great video and Neil Young showing his compassion for his son and Lionel trains. My first train was a Marx’s tin train that I thought Santa misunderstood me so the next Christmas I got a Lionel train set. I still have it plus more just lacking room to set it up in our house because Florida doesn’t build basements. I thought about building a shelf around our den and running a different engine again.
Thank you, Neil...for sharing everything. Your talents, your passions and your generous soul. As the father of an autistic child, I can unequivocally say that trains helped him out so much in many ways and brought him out of his shell and fostered his love of music. All I ever heard from the "experts" was "he can't" or "he won't"...I'm glad I didn't listen. The first time he performed on stage I was so proud of him...he fed off the energy of the audience and it wanted to make me flip the bird at all those so-called experts...
There’s a role model right there. More men and women should learn from these two. Not only that, I am a big fan of Neil’s music and how cool is that Jeep?
Musically, I’m not a big fan of his. But as a Dad, I’m a big fan. What a great thing he’s done to be able to let his son share his love of trains. And bring the family together.
What a cool video. Thank you so much for sharing. His love of railroading with his family is neat. It is fun to hear Neil and his family tell the story of TMCC and Lionetch and how it relates to his son with a disability.
What an inspirational video! Neil and I are the same age, I luv Lionel trains, too- I guess they're imprinted on our brains since Christmas time in the 50's when we opened up Lionel trains under the Xmas tree.
Great to see that Ben is enabled, not disabled. And what an amazingly mature and supportive sister! Congratulations to the parents for a job well done.
This is super cool Neil, and Lional I'm extremely impressed. Cheers and Merry Christmas from Nanaimo bc 9n my boat, making ho wood cars, I can't run them but love making them. I'm also disabled but can function ok. Cheers. God bless your family my dear friend.
I got my first Lionel Train 1960 I still have it I have added more to it since there in the attic someday I will put them all together to be a kid again
Thank you Mr Young for sharing this look into your private life. Also thanks for pushing the envelop on control's for trains. Also love the music! " Keep on rocking...down the rails in the free world"
If I ever invest in Lionel trains I will desperately want "Big Red", My body is in perfect condition so I would want the button mostly because of how lazy I can be, but on the other hand it is a MAJOR convenience for people like Neil's son. I would rate this video 5/5 for several positive reasons.
That is one superb layout. It reminds me very much of the late John Allen's Gorre & Dapheatid with its magnificent scenery. And well done, Neil and Ben.
what an awesome story you shared ! to see the smile on your son's face is priceless ! your a great dad as well as a legendary rock artist ! im a Lionel train collector & enthusiast myself

@@jeffhallaran6630 That's about the same time as me . Or maybe1959 . It's a little while since I was a kid but my Mom and Dad showed me how to put it together and run it . One of them would find me asleep on the floor and in the loop of track . I saw a lot of photos of that set up .

I have to agree with Digger Dan; I wish the manufacturing stayed in the U.S.A. like the factory scenes in the video! Or South Korea - not in China!
Wow that is amazing how that was started
Now I like Neil even more.
I’ve watched the video before watching again. God bless him
Glad to see him in the hobby and enjoying himself so much
