I'm French, living in France. This documentary got me feeling weirdly. Some info are just false! President Holland is not from the right but from the left wing. The kids were not tasered to death but got ran after and got electrocuted in a power supply facility they were trying to hide in. I'm not from the hood or nothing but I know myself real tough rappers and they were not in the documentary. In part 2, that Morsay dude... lol his popularity comes from the fact that everybody and their mama make fun of him. Never heard of the 2nd one who had made "major noise". And part 3 is just pathetic. I don't have time to write all the wrong stuff in it. All this to say that this doc will make me watch the other Vice stuff with suspicion, from now on. If the info was so wrong in this, it could be in any other as well. Please Vice, have a meeting with this your "reporter". Lame lame lame lame lame lame lame.
WTF are you saying? tazered to death? those 2 kids were caught trying to enter an electric facility, while doing so some cops started chasing them, they went to hide in some electrical generator and got electrocuted. That's quite a strech to say that some cops tazered them to death ffs!
C'était un beau projet et pourtant il a fallu que Vice prenne la "journaliste" la moins compétente pour réaliser ce sujet. C'est trop facile de caricaturer, de rigoler derrière la caméra et de faire "lol le mek il pu les onion mdr :)"
This really gives me the impression of a kinda clueless, Beverly Hills type girl that grew up 5 blocks AWAY from the hood and hung out with her cousin's neighbor who knows someone from the hood. Very oblivious to the very real danger of assault and death around every corner. She's either blissfully ignorant or protected by some people in very high places to be carrying on the way she does. Bless her courage (or lack of awareness).
I love how people are focusing on, "France isn't hard, [insert country here] is way tougher than any street there!", instead of realizing that every single country has it's own ghetto or "hood," whether you like it or not. I live in the US, in Connecticut, one of the over-all wealthiest states in the country and there *ARE* parts plagued with poverty, violence/murder, prostitution, and drugs (look it up if you don't believe me- cities like Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven). it obviously pales in comparison to turmoil other places in the world, but things like that are *RELATIVE*, and compared to the quiet suburbs, it's bad. and besides that, who fucking brags about having the most crime-ridden block in the WORLD? sit the fuck down, you like a colossus douche.
Connecticut? Come on now. I live in 90210 zip code. Lemme tell you, it's hard finding places to wax my Bentley and people are constantly jaywalking on their way to the Gucci stores here. Crazy crime. Nothing harder and grimier than that and driving a dirty Ferrari. There. Top that!! LOL PS- I love you Stacy. lol
Stacy Cruz "who fucking brags about having the most crime-ridden block in the WORLD?" Rappers actually. That's why people comment to point out that France is not that hard. We have free healthcare, social help and welfare and stuff. These rappers acting like they have to sell drugs to survive are making fools of themselves.
