The reference you mentioned about the many mansions in heaven that Jesus is coming again to receive us, has a perfect example of Steven's testimony by the Holy Spirit in Acts chapter 7, read it for yourselves. As a matter of fact almost all the deciples were put to death because of their faith in Jesus Christ, John was inprisioned on the Island of Patmos. This is the history of the church of believers and is recorded in several volumes of books of all the recorded persecutions affliction and tribulations down through the past millenniums and even to this day. So this aught to speak volumes to every believer in America, not to think we are special and be spared from afflictions, tribulations and persecution as a testing of our faith to see if we are truly a believer and follower of Christ or if were just a superficial believer not able to endure tribulation and persecution. It aught to obvious to any believer that is aware of current events like the boarder crisis, and the enimies of America joining forces to come against us which are China, Russia, Iran and their proxie terrorist groups, North Korea.
