The No. 21 Cavaliers fought off a tough battle from Wake Forest to pick up a 49-47 home win. Reece Beekman was the difference-maker for Virginia, as he had a game-high 20 points on 9-16 shooting, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists in the win. Isaac McKneely followed suit with 12 points, 2 blocks, a steal, and a pair of rebounds. For the Demon Deacons, Hunter Sallis had 12 points and 3 rebounds in the loss.

It wasn’t pretty but you gotta admit it was a good game in terms of how close it was and how competitive it was all game. May not have been interesting, but a low score doesn’t mean bad game (frankly its the uva effect, we make our opponents offense worse, but we play slow and don’t score much)
