An old cow or wild burro path. One end of it will go to a water hole/well/tank and/or feed troughs. Looks like there hasn't been cattle out there for a long time, so I wouldn't bet my life on any water sources - besides, which end of the path was it on?
Gee Chigg that's an alright video! I would never get to see these amazing places without your video adventures, it's great just seeing the landscapes. Thank you for letting us tag along for the ride!
@@lawrencedee8661 yes, I'm aware that copper shows up as that turquoise color in rocks. Thanks for the info. The Arlington mine was a Manganese mine supposedly.
Amalikite😂 Jebuzite😅 Moabite🤣 Chalcanthite🤪 Appetite 😜 Getitright😇 Thanks for the laugh, much appreciated. Merry Christmas to you Chigg, thanks for the explore.
Oh my nenith Chigg that game trail was established back when Mojave desert beavers were abundant and plentiful, nowadays one would be considered lucky if one came out the bush and bit you in the you know where. 😉👍
Good evening, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Born and raised within 5 miles of the beach in New Jersey. So I have never seen a desert and watching your videos shows me what deserts look like. Show your videos do you have merit don’t ever downplay what you do. I learned more about the desert watching your videos than I did going to school. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a very nice new year. Thank you again for your videos, Kathy
I thought that the missus liked pretty rocks like that mallacite? And I do believe that was a Mojave trail. The Spanish would force them to mine gold and carry the ore out on their backs, but that trail could be much older than that. I'm not sure though, I ain't there.
Mr. Aquachigger, you are one of the last true adventurers my dude... I only wish we could all be there with ya, but heck these videos sure are fun! I'm saving up for a dirtbike and looking forwards to motocamping and stuff too!
Good afternoon from Southeast South Dakota. We are now at -3 with -23 to -38 baring on wind speed. Guess it's better than the two day -21 with -50 windshield. Don't forget the snow blowing.
Thanks for all you do and post brother Aquachigger, certainly a joy learning from you and you're always welcome over here in the Irish Wilderness area of the Missouri Ozarks!
There was lots more than gold and silver coming from the mining out there. Still a great adventure none the less. Have a great Christmas, Chig, and everyone else here that's a fan.
You completely missed the huge Arlington mine adit. Big enough to drive into, but now gated. I camped there on old concrete building slabs in the1980's. I collected fabulous manganese ore samples.
Hey Chigg, that was a cool video :) beats the snot out of what I did today... went to work. But then again here in Alaska things are a bit frozen and snowed in.
Hey any adventures you go on is great I live vicariously through your adventures as I have been disabled for 32 years I'd love to do what you do unfortunately with only 1 good leg it's hard
Gee Chigg, that was an alright video. 😀 I either learn something new or see something different. That's what makes your videos awesome. The effort is appreciated❣️
El Chigg rides again ! I thought you put the Chigg bike away for the rest of this trip. Merry Christmas and look forward to to one or two more video before the end of 2022. ⭐️🎄🎄🎄🎄⭐️
You’re right that path could have been from native Americans. The blue you keep picking up might have been turquoise?. Keep it height. Pretty rocks for Ms Linsey. 😏😏😏😏😁thank you so much always a treat and learning experience.
If that narrow trail was used by native Americans, there should be some pottery shards alongside. Most pottery was sun dried and not very durable. Ceremonial pottery was usually kiln dried to make it stronger. I've hiked on ancient trails and usually find broken pottery along them. Some of these trails were followed by miners. Some were even graded or paved over by modern society. Seen it first hand.
Great video that trail could be spanish they mined that area for a long time. And I think the rattle snakes stopped rattling because Every time they do people kill them. I always say mother nature is smarter than us.
Another great adventure. The path that runs along side the main path could be a secondary miners path for faster foot travel. Some sections will cross harder terrain, yet faster than the road that the cart/s vehicles moved. Also, back in those days the weather might of only permitted foot travel up to the area. Before roads there had to be a prospectors trail up to that area. Once the ore was established the road was made. ezpz...Have a great Day. Happy Holidays
That old path is probably made by Pack Mules. Older mines used Pack Mules to run ore and supplies to and from the closest town (Needles maybe?) You might be able to metal detect that path and find cast off nails and shoes to confirm that path.
Wish I could still do that. My knees and back are gone. I used to do the same thing four-wheel drive pickup with a slide in camper and a tt500 Yamaha hanging on the back of it.
Gee, Chigg, that was an alright video. I said it, because it`s true. Any day w/ Chigg in the desert is a good day, and thus, a good video. I don`t make the rules.
Just think, those Mojave Indians were out there for thousands of years, just “MINING “ their own business, and not bothering anyone. And here come these damn settlers, kicking them off their land. It just blows my “ MINE”!
I've seen burro trails out in the desert that look like the "mystery footpath" but the native peoples aspect is not outside the realm of likely possibilities. It could be miners walked there every day...off to the side of the road so as to stay out of traffic or before there was a road. Maybe you could follow it for a follow up.. Oh yeah! "Gee Chig' that was an alright video"

Thanks for watching…. The Chigg
I think the path was from animals walking it. There were those water tanks for cattle that you have come across.
Elk.
Cow/animal path following an old indian path...ie...dessert freeway!
Hi, I used to hike canyons around Lake Havasu City Arizona and came across trails like these and always wondered

Every video with the Chigg is an alright video
Dont fret Chigg...I could watch you find nothing and still enjoy your videos.
Cow trail. 😊
From the looks of that building I hope the miners survived the shootout! LOL
Great video. Now get your Ads home for Christmas. Have a great one. Love to your family.
As always you take us along on another great adventure thank you Chigg 👍
The sky above your head while you lamented an interesting video makes it an interesting video. Beautiful.
I had to get through the white and drifting snooow.. but I'm here!
Great video agro trigger from Bryer Floyd and merry Christmas and god bless

Liked the manganese streaks. In oil colors Manganese Blue is the coolest blue. Awesome views 👌
Manganese is black with no blue minerals. The blue you saw were copper minerals.
@@lawrencedee8661 yes, I'm aware that copper shows up as that turquoise color in rocks. Thanks for the info. The Arlington mine was a Manganese mine supposedly.
It's still a pretty landscape. I am a rock hound and those blue veins in the rock is fascinating!

There's no place like the desert! Thanks for posting and for pointing out what the rocks in the chicken wire signify.

Chig, I'm sitting in a Blizzard in Northern Michigan. You could show a still picture of a jagged rock and i'd be entertained.
Merry Christmas to you and your lovely wife. stay Blessed
The blue rock you're picking up is galena. They most likely were mining silver
God bless Chigg to you and yours and everyone else watching and working to survive #fjb
Your videos rock chigg!

Merry Christmas Everyone !
It's the trail left by the 10 foot tall saurian extraterrestrials tail. Landed his spacecraft to check this out. 👽
Thanks , my health is bad but once I'm better I'll be out there , so in the mean time thank you for the adventures
The blue rocks could be native copper. Chrysocolla. It looks just like that color you found. It's just exceptionally rich copper deposits.
The chicken wire tip was worth it all!!!
You’re right that path could have been from native Americans. The blue you keep picking up might have been turquoise?. Keep it height. Pretty rocks for Ms Linsey. 😏😏😏😏😁thank you so much always a treat and learning experience.
Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year don't forget to "Hold Your Breath!!!; )"!!!
The trail is a borrow path leading to a spring…..

Beautiful area…still fun to see the exploration going on. Cool video
Merry Christmas Chigg!
It's about the journey....not the destination. Interesting territory.
You never disappoint! Merry Christmas
Chigg, you walked right past a small license plate when you were walking in that ditch just after looking in that small mine building. Right at 7:12
Wish I could still do that. My knees and back are gone. I used to do the same thing four-wheel drive pickup with a slide in camper and a tt500 Yamaha hanging on the back of it.
Chig, you passed up chrysacola worth some money,Imperialite very pretty worked and polished up.

Doe's blue rocks look good to me
So, old rumor has it that a Spanish treasure is hidden in the old woman mountains, not to far from where you were, in an old mine with an iron doors.
Watch out for the Mojave greens, very nasty and the venom is different . Used to live in Golden Valley back in the 70s
I think it would be awesome if you followed that old trail.
I think it would help in that rocky sand to air down your tires a little. It helps on my mtb!
4:17 I watch for the knowledge of the old mining terminology.
