I saw Kinky Boots for the first time today and it happened to be David Cook's second show this time around. He was also my very first concert back at Musikfest in Bethlehem during his Declaration and he was my very first celebrity crush, so seeing him live once again almost ten years later really came full circle for me. The show was absolutely amazing and I started crying three minutes into it and didn't stop crying until about an hour after the show ended. It was such a prominent message in today's society and gave me hope. I absolutely wish I could relive seeing the show again and again because it was just too good to be true. Thank you Kinky Boots for reminding me why I do theatre.
Came here from Brendon Urie for David Cook because I heard he was also Charlie. And I now remember why they are both 2 of my favorite artists of all time. I need a collab from them!

Wow, listening to this made the afternoon chores a breeze today. LISTEN to those long, beautiful phrases rarely if every achieved in this song when sung by most people. The notes just spin up there - loose, free - this is one stunning vocal performance, Mr. Cook. No stage, no orchestra, no context - and still one can imagine ALL of that when listening to you sing this iconic KB song. No wonder folks on twitter keep saying they have to go back - seeing you in this show once isn't enough! Well done! (and thanks to the KB peeps for making and posting this vid! We needed it!)

Really? I respect your opinion, but it's because of all the rave reviews from fans, and non fans that I'm traveling to NYC from Canada to see this artist in Kinky Boots..Looking froward to it! You can't compare his take on this song sitting relaxed with a guitar to his Broadway performance IMO
This is a promotional video, not the actual performance from the scene in the musical. They're different environments, and I'm sure they've casted David as Charlie because he is a good enough actor.
