    I think what did amazing for my hair was to actually use silicones products. I guess it really does depend on the hair but water soluble doesnt mean that it wont wash out after using shampoo! A detergent will break it down. Silicones are so demonized but it’s honestly great for your skin and hair just make sure to use a good shampoo and double cleanse as you already do.

      @cfoster6804 Рік тому +1

      You only need to double cleanses if the shampoo is sulfate free because they don't clean well. Sulfates are VERY efficient cleansers. They can get the job done in one go if you don't have a ton of buildup. Most of Kerastase shampoos have sulfates and if you read the directions they never say 'rinse and repeat'.

    I have type 4 natural hair and oddly enough this is my least favorite Kerastase line that I've tried. Now Chronologiste...that is GOLD!

    I'm a little late but I can honestly say that Kerastasse is worth every penny. I remember when I used their line when I still had relaxed hair, and it gave my hair the health, strength and shine it needed.

    Just an FYI... Most rinse out conditioners and deep condidtioners/masks are not supposed to be used together. Especially with a rinse out conditioner w/ silicones which will seal the hair shaft and block the mask/deep conditioner from performing as intended. Love your hair and your content!!

    • @lisk8142
      @lisk8142 2 місяці тому +1

      That actually is not true. I go to a natural hair salon and they recommend a deep conditioner and the hair mask is usual applies first. Sit under a dryer for five to ten mins then wash out the mask with the conditioner.

    • @clairedaniels1877
      @clairedaniels1877 Місяць тому

      @@lisk8142What do you mean wash out the mask with the conditioner? I do know that the mask/treatment goes on after the shampoo and then you follow up with the rinse out conditioner to seal. I just found out that this is how treatments are supposed to be used. A rinse out should be used on every wash.

    you should ALAWAYS do 2 shampoos, the first one removes build up, the second one does what the shampoo is supposed to 🤎

      You're right.

    • @cfoster6804
      @cfoster6804 Рік тому +3

      I disagree. Shampoo is to clean and it does that in the first wash. Especially if you're using shampoo with sulfates which most of Kerastase shampoos have. Unless you have bad buildup or scalp problems one good shampoo should suffice. You're just drying out your hair unnecessarily. Also, a lot of these sulfate free shampoos don't clean worth a crap so people have to do those double cleanses with those. Curl Manifesto is sulfate free. If you read Kerastase bottles they don't say to lather up twice with their products.

    Girl!! $62 for the mask. I splurge on some things but it has to be an AMAZING conditioner at that price point lol. I’m more on the curlsmith price point lol

    I LOVE all Kerastase shampoos and conditioners for curly, dense, and coarse hair types. I never use the conditioner and mask together, but the masks are my favorite products. They’re the greatest of all time IMO! I look forward to your thoughts on the stylers. I didn’t love them as much as I hoped.

      Lit Lightskin Not. The quality of their products has gone down. Presumably because the company was sold. But before that they also used questionable ingredients. Now, Kérastase has a stellar reputation of 50 years and their product lines are superb. Try them once, you won't regret it!

    So, I have the same hair type. I actually really like this product line. I have to really comb it through. Also, the leave in works really well with Care Free Curl Gold (the old school curl activator) my hair was literally moisturized for like a whole week +

    Thanks for the video. I can't wait to see the full routine using the styling products. I don't think this line would work with my hair but I could be wrong. The stylers look a little too light weight.

    I’d love to know what your nighttime routine is. How do you maintain that shape everyday? I have to shake my hair out forever to get it back the way it was that day before. It doesn’t matter if I pineapple or what. I have major shrinkage every morning!

    I was waiting for this review! Was wondering if it is worth the coins. Not sure now since I see it has silcones. With low porosity hair I try to stay away from them. Then I always forgot to wash the silicone out with a harder shampoo ( with sulfates)

      The shampoo, conditioner and mask I feel worked really well in my hair- but I would say the styling products alone would not be for us 😅- I'd definitely have to add a little wetline in the mix for the hold for sure!

      Kerastase is about what WORKS. 100٪ natural just doesn't work well. How many natural hair products do you have in your stash that don't work?
