What’s the point? This won’t hold anything. To make this useful, you need to have access to both ends of your rope and pass the long end through the loops instead of the short end.
Good point, I didn’t think of using it for something like that, and I can see how it’s useful for going around a object where you don’t have access to one end, but for most of what I would use it for, i’d Want it done the other way

We use this knot everyday for line work. This goes around utility pole and our block snaps into loop.
