One of the best songs on the album, Shadows Follow, Too far gone, Chasing Light, Lux Eterna, Inamorata, 72 seasons..are my favorite, but the all songs are excellent
Every song on 72 seasons has a little nod to a song they already wrote. Picking up on them has been fun, like little Easter eggs. None of the remaining songs will be what you're expecting. Shadows Follow will put a smile on your face, Too Far Gone is catchy, James vocals really carry the Album, And they remembered they have a Bass player!!! Enjoy the rest.
Great song, great reaction bro. This album is great, old school Metallica (Kill Em All, And Justice For All, Black Album, Load, Reload, even some parts of Master of Puppets) and Hardwired 🤘

This is a album you should listen to several times, as it will grow on you. I like it much better now, then at first listens, I tryed to rate the songs from the album, even its hard, i listened to all songs at least 20 times each by now. 1. Lux æterna 9/10 2. Shadows follow 9/10 3. If darkness had a son 9/10 4. 72 seasons 9/10 5. Inamotata 9/10 6. Chasing light 9/10 7. Room of mirrors 9/10 8. To far gone? 8/10 9. Screaming suicide 7/10 10.Crown of barbed wire 7/10 11.You must burn 7/10 12.Sleepwalk my life away 7/10 Those rankings on songs gives a album rank 8,29/10 I do think a balad would have suited this album, but its not making the album weak that it isnt there, you kind of get to accept the sound of the songs, , and epreciate them as they are, after some listens..
I think Screaming Suicide is still my favorite of the album, it's got such a powerful message. But Room Of Mirrors is a very, VERY close second. I just hope they can do it justice when they play it live.
i don't know. I haven't been super excited about much of Metallica's last 3 or 4 albums. don't get me wrong as much as I like their old stuff I'm glad they changed their sound. I am also glad the entire midrange of this song isn't taken up but a shhty snare drum. this song flows pretty good and moves around. I try and listen to it with out comparing it to their other stuff. It just lacks any thig creative or interesting.
I think they need Bob Rock back. Last two albums (so far) seem to be lacking an original sound, and the songs could be arranged better I think. They dont seem to be pushed enough.

I think it is fine, now new albums are immediately available on youtube and spotify. I do not personally puchase albums anymore either. I am not happy with this change, but it is how it is.

I only liked 4 songs when I heard album first. Listened to album through 4- 5 times. Now 9 songs are epic in my opinion. Only three I don't like.
