What are your thoughts about electronic kits, and what's your favorite? Let's talk about it! Here's the link to this kit, the dynamic response is pretty crazy! imp.i114863.net/P0q5mN
Just as a test i put the video on and just heard it and didn’t watch it on purpose and I couldn’t tell if you were on a acoustic kit or electronic kit! Roland has out done themselves!! I personally would have like a little more volume on cymbals but overall crazy good! Gonna recommend these to 2 churches i play at… thx brother
A great drum cover. Here are my thoughts, The response and intensity is well translated from the hands on the mesh pads. However, the hats and cymbals are where the electronic kits lack. Beyond some semi quavers, rubber typed hats doesn't take input. And cymbal edges are not sensitive enough to take the input from a crash and ride hit.
I think the kit sounds great. I have played on Roland TD models before and liked them a lot. The mesh heads and response from the drums are well advanced from the traditional rubber pad drums. However, the pad cymbals I have never been a fan of. The response is no where near as great as the drums. Either there are delays in them or they don’t register all the hits. I have been told by other drummers and Memphis Drumshop employees sometimes it depends on the angle and how you strike them, but I tried several ways and same outcome. However, when playing Roland TDs with some Zildjan Gen 16 cymbals they work really well.
I have been a fan of yours for several years now. You are such a tasteful drummer, throwing in a bunch of licks that fit and don't sound overplayed. I absolutely LOVE all your videos.
Good day, we have that drums also at our church, and May i know what are the settings or set up on the drums so that I can copy it. I love how it sounds, and I want to do it also in our drums at our church, I hope you will see this. Thanks!!
Bro you made this cover right at the time that I needed it! Praise God for you. I got the song down but I still want to add more color to it and I got so many ideas from this. Keep doing what you’re doing bro!
I have that same kit at my church. Would you mind letting me know what drum and cymbal sounds you use please? They are very clean and sound great. Thank you in advance. God bless.
This shows that this electronic kit can do an adequate job in the worship service. I still prefer your elaborate kits though. I get a kick watching the different toms and cymbals you have.
If I can ask? What snare sample are you using for this setup for just a nice snare sound. I can’t seem to find any good sounding snares other than the mahogany tone for snare tuned to about 30-35
I've been a church drummer for a long time I've played both electric and acoustic kits. and to be totally honest with everyone it seems to be about the same everywhere struggling with getting the right precise sound out of an electric kit. And some churches rather have an electric kit then an acoustic kit so they can control the sound/Volume Etc. I once saw a bumper sticker that pretty much summed it up for me it said "Electric Drum Kits Have No Soul" so there you have it, but that's just my opinion. But all in all great job Bro!!!! good control and BTW we use that same kit in my church :) God bless
Hy man! Great perfomance! ✌🏼 the sound it's very good. My question is, where i can buy the sound kit ? it is very powerfull. Thank you, all the good! 😃
Interested to know how you recorded this. Is the drum mix a straight LR from the kit or are you taking any other feeds out? I personally felt that the cymbals sounded too quiet in the mix compared to the rest of the drums. I would have liked to have heard a bit more of the the percussive nature of the hi hat. Having played an electric many years ago with only a LR out in a live setting I found it took a while to really get the sounds and the levels set right. A drummer at my church during covid swapped the real kit for an electric one and the sounds he had that were great at home really did not work at church and in a live context. Would be keen to hear your thoughts on how you set the kit up for this record and if you just used out the box levels or played with them.
Thanks for the input and for watching, Anthony! I'm really digging into tracking in MIDI, using some onboard sounds and some samples. I'll do a rundown soon.
I've always wanted a drummer with skill like yours to showcase e drums like this. Although I know acoustic drums are more lively and better sounding, I like content like this because it shows us what's possible if we go the edrum way. Thank you for showing us your drumming! You sound great! God bless, can you do Jesus the same on roland drums?? God bless!
This was a creative choice to do a one-shot cover with one camera, definitely don't do this for all videos. Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for watching!

I am a Korean. My drum using TD-17kvx. The products in the video are big ride cymbals and delicate digital snare drums, and the performers are cool.
It would be really interesting to see how you customized the module settings for each pad and cymbal. Sounds really great!

Cleanest drummer by far!!!!
Appreciate that, Jose! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
No cuts left behind 👊🏻 You played it so clean and precise 🤯 which helps make the machine sound more natural.
All the sounds on the kit are really good, but I especially love the kick! Great vid
Thanks, Matthew!
Great sounding drum cover! The drums sound amazing. You nailed this song, took the nails out and nailed it again 😁
Lol! Thanks Red Cymbals! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Daniel Bernard how is this so clean 🙆🏾♂️. If I didn't see it with my eyes I wouldn't have believed it was this kit. Love it! 🥁 👏🏽 🔊
Lol, thanks Andrew!

I appreciate that you covered the original record. Thank you.
Please share settings for this kit i use a td27 and cant make it sound this good
Hey, excellent cover!! Any way I could acquire the kit you used (within the module)?
Bro you made this cover right at the time that I needed it! Praise God for you. I got the song down but I still want to add more color to it and I got so many ideas from this. Keep doing what you’re doing bro!
Thanks for watching, Daniel. And thanks for the kind words! 🙏🏼
This has to be the best sounding electric kit I’ve ever heard
Thanks! Going to do a deep dive into how I've set it up soon!
@Daniel Bernard 🙌🙌🙌 Such an inspiration 😍

@@DanielBernard What Fills do you do for church
I'm still playing my Roland V sessions (TD-10XP)...A great kit still, but I'm ready for an upgrade. How about a review of the VAD-706 kit?

I would like to know how much that battery costs in dollars.
I Will waiting for you doing this cover

Lekker Daniel!!!! Ek kry sommer hoendervleis. You make it look so easy.
I might have to invest into a kit like this so it’s not as annoying for my family and neighbors when I practice at home. It sounds great bro!! 🔥
So good!

My inspiration eversince before i learned playing drums. Until today i became drummer

Are these the Tony Royster drum samples? They sound solid!
Best fills on yt
I have this kit and I was wondering what sounds you used for the stack. Cause this isn't one of the presets
Thanks for the input and for watching! I'm really digging into tracking in MIDI, using some onboard sounds and some samples. I'll do a rundown soon.
God blees you and I'm happy if you are apostolic . good dramer
What do we need the drummers that own adrum kit like this from Roland to sound like this in post production?
God bless

Ya, absolutely! I'm really digging into tracking in MIDI, using some onboard sounds and some samples. I'll do a rundown soon.
hey bro are you still doing patreon lessons?
What kind of sticks are those David?
Blessed on how you play drums, acoustic or e-kit,pure talent.
e-kit portable, sounds like acoustic drums 😅
I always watch your cover here on yt! I just like how you play the drum, You're such an inspiration to us, God bless you! Hope you'll notice me:)
Thanks for the kind words, Keith!
How do I become such a great drummer like you Mr.Bernard?
Love this song! Awesome job, and that kit sounds great!
Thanks!

Haha have you tried Chris Coleman version on live from another level in kansas?
Own sounds or stock?!
Nice bro👌💥
Thanks! 🙏🏼
This guy is good I think he can be a good church drummer 👌
That sound! Nice, is it your personal kit sound? How much is it edited?
i'ma just gonna say its weird seeing you Drum without a suit and tie. Great sounds from the e-kit!
Lol!
Roland or whatever model it is. Only a SD3 VST would do.
This was awesome! Can you talk about which sound of the module you used? Did you edit or tweak the sound in post after?
Thanks! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 I'm really digging into tracking in MIDI, using some onboard sounds and some samples. I'll do a rundown soon.
@@DanielBernard looking forward to that. I’ve been trying to get this level of sound out of a td50 kit
I’d really like to know what it sounds like without the sounds on the kit and the music!
🔥🙌🙏
Wow 👏👏🙌🙌👊👊🛐🛐
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sounded great! We use a e-kit at church and it is fun to play and sounds good...but it will never have the same feel and sound as an acoustic kit :)
Thanks, man! Ya, it's hard to match an acoustic kit for sure!
To mutch light))

1st ever Drum Cover video in studio!
At the end an acoustic kit will be processed electronically.
Great drumming, cymbals have always let Roland or any electronic drum down. Imagine if they got the cymbals right
I love how you play the drums, but i personally don't like electric drums that much. I would use it if I lived in a small place
I know you're showcasing the brand but Got dizzy with the camera movement. Static camera always works better when doing drum cover.
This was a creative choice to do a one-shot cover with one camera, definitely don't do this for all videos. Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for watching!
I 🙏👍
IT doesn't feel like the classic but I like it
Thanks, Willy! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
