I didn't need to heat the back-cover. It came off easily when I inserted a paper cutter by force. The cover is plastic, hence very elastic. My A20 had double sided adhesive inside, so I didn't need a glue when closing back-cover tight. Other than that top notch instructions. 👍👍Thank you.
Good video, I prefer the old school phones in which you click the back cover off and on instead of the phones of today as you need to do so much work removing and replacing a battery I still have a ten year old E3 Motorola as my spare phone as I have replaced the battery 4 times in ten years but had it been a phone of today I am sure I would have bought a new one rather than go through so much work in replacing a battery but if you have the time why not,?
Very good pictures of the process 👍👍👍 but sometimes you speak too quickly and tend to run words together making it difficult to discern what you are saying. In English it's important to leave some space between words. Best tip is to speak a tad more slowly.
Hey, I have the problem that after changing the battery, the battery status is always 50%. Doesn’t matter is the battery complete full, half full or nearly empty. The battery works fine, only site status is wrong..? Any idea?? I changed the battery twice from different sellers, same problem
@@rawfoodphilosophy7061 yes. I tried a few after market batteries, all show the same behaviour. Now I replaced it with an original Battery from Samsung and everything is ok.
@@DIYGeardo but sir one question why tabs battery is so big than mobiles battery. I USE A2O mobile and Tab A 8. Tab A battery is 5100 and A20 batter is 4150 . But I dont understant how engineer make battery is too smaller when MAH is slighltly simmiler.
I had to R/R my battery because it had swollen and cracked back case,, I discovered the back battery cover cracked when I took off the phone case in order to put a new one on .........battery didnt leak no damage to phone ... In fact battery was still taking charge FYI My A20 had a silver square tape about 3/4 inch square attached to the metal case above the battery lead where it plugs in ,,,This 3/4 inch square has a small tab at the bottom edge about 3/16 x 1/4 inch which went over top the battery plug to secure it to the plug . with a little careful force the silver tab can be lifted off the battery lead ..and can be reattached to the new battery and its plug in lead... I did not use a heat gun I slid a old credit card back and forth under the battery to detach tape. My replacement battery did not come with tape to attach battery to case ... I used 2 pieces of double sided scotch tape ... I ordered a back battery cover and installed it .. no issues be cautious when removing protective film off the mounting tape... Lastly, use magnetic screw drivers to hold these tiny screws , your life will be easier ..

I use this phone as my Octoprint server and it's got a nice spicy pillow on it. Thanks for the tutorial!
You are welcome

I appreciate the suggestion and will try to slow down in future videos.
Very helpful but too difficult for my big hands. thanks.
What screw drivers size I use for the repair ?
Philips screw driver 1.5 or 2 will be good
When I do a little projects like this, I usually use an eyeglass repair kit that has multiple screwdrivers👍
Woooo exelente exelente que buen contenido 👊😎💪💪💪💪
Thanks for your feedback 🙏
When we change the battery the battery percentage changes or same as earlier??
It should change if it is an original battery.
Hello where did you get the glue?
You can buy online and also in most phone repair shops.
No I didn't get the glue !

my status also says 50%, but it lasts twice as long as my old battery which said 100%.
I guess you could put the old one back in so it says 100%?????

How do you test if your galaxy A20 battery is on the way out?
Well you should feel it drains fast and not holding the charge as used to be.
I think my battery is still good then..thx
Very very good
Thanks
also u can place a heavy book on the phone if you dont have clamps
Yeah but make sure about the weight. It might end up with more damages
What is the battery price ?
I would say an original one about $25
