The I did it mom I told you I’d change your life moment was amazing. Legitimately bone chillingly raw. Leon needed to show this side of him to the world and now we all know who he really is. Man I’m a huge fan after the way he handled the win last night
We all cried, laughed and cheered with Leon. Let me tell you, as another Caribbean boy that moved to England when i was 2 year old, this meant even more. You had the whole Caribbean, the whole UK and lots of the world with you Leon. The funny ting was they was all cheering Usman, Usman at start. But at the end, was all Rocky, Rocky chants. You switched a whole arena, a whole crowd over to you my lad. The greatest UFC moment for so many of us. When i sae that kick land and Usman just go dead mode, I was still waiting for some f@ckeries to happen. When it sank in, I was in tears for real!! Met Rocky many time in London and near Wolves and man is proper down to earth. No one more deserving in my book!!
The fact that his name is 'Rocky', and how the films his name is based on are about a man coming from nothing, training hard, being down, then pulling it out spectacularly at the end. It's actually so so poetic. Beautiful life poetry. The universe aligning. This is like a moment in combat sports history that was meant to happen.
@@NewEra0_ idk what you're implying here but he was already called rocky before the title fight. Rocky was always his nickname and he eventually lived up to it. That's the poetry of it.
This man suffered from poverty and homelessness..His father was killed in front of his eyes.. And that didn't stop him from pursuing his dream..leon edwards is a man Inside the cage and outside the cage.. Respect 🖤
I literally get so much motivation from this speech. I come here monthly just to remind myself the type of belief one needs in himself to push though the wall of doubt people cast on you. Thank you, Leon.
@David, he's using Jamaican saying. The pound for pound is in reference to the Usmam who is referred to be the P4Pnin the UFC. "Pound for pound, headshot, dead". Is to say he Leon, take out the P4P with a head shot and he's dead. Not literally dead but in this case he's detrone.
There is something about the line that is so truly fantastic. Also, I think Edwards' voice accentuates it so well. Maybe it's just the gamer nerd in me. 🤷
This was without a doubt my all time facourite UFC moment. Leon's had the absolute worst luck over the years and I can't think of anyone who deserves it more. So glad he proved everyone who said he couldn't do it wrong. He found the perfect words in the moment for this interview. Heartfelt and truly inspirational.

Brandon Moreno. Charles Oliveira. Leon Edwards. When those three fighters first got their hands on UFC gold, they made me feel it like no other, post-fight. The JOY.
