GUINNESS WORLD RECORD Domino Cube 27,143 Dominoes | The COLOSSAL Cube 2.0

- That was a journey! After days of planning and preparation before even setting one domino down, 97 hours of actual building spread over three months, and 27,143 dominoes, I did it! This is the world's largest domino cube, and the largest 3D domino structure ever. It is roughly 49 inches wide/deep/tall. There are 53 rows of 512 dominoes, plus an extra 7 I added to make the count a prime number.
I'm in the process of submitting evidence to Guinness World Records to make this record official. It takes several weeks for them to analyze it, but in the meantime, you can enjoy this piece of domino art.
Here are two fun risk mitigations I employed. First, my domino room is carpeted, so I use a plywood board to make a better building surface. I've noticed that over time as I walk on the board it shifts, and sometimes large structures will lose dominoes out of the lower levels. So I had a board made to the planned size of the cube, and then I never had to step on it. It worked; the board never visibly shifted. Second, there's a door that opens into the room, and once the cube was tall enough, the door handle could possibly topple the cube. So I always had a box of dominoes at the corner of the cube to stop the door, just in case. Lamping dominoes are worth something after all!
This was an expensive project to pull off, between buying more dominoes and the equipment needed to record the measurements for Guinness World Records. WHAT THE HELL! THIS IS INCREDIBLE! It's mind blowing that you actually made this with NO mistakes (except for that one domino stuck inside lol) and at the end you can really see how many dominoes it had. LIKE THAT PILE WAS HUGE! also I saw that you also used your dons and I remember you said that using both dons and bulks in a structure makes it unstable cause of the dimensions. How did you solve that problem?

@@RaduPetrici It’s only an issue if you build enough rows that have both Bulk and Don. I had around 5 or six of those, so not enough to be an issue.

Wow! Well done! And was it just me or did you seem emotional after it all toppled? I can’t even imagine spending so much time building something to have it destroyed so quickly, even (especially) intentionally so.
It goes without saying that this is absolutely incredible, it's not only one of the most impressive domino projects i've ever seen but one of the most impressive things i've seen period. You might just be the best structure builder that the community has ever seen, massive congrats on this world record, it's well deserved!!

that was Huuge , but just how huge exactly ? . . I wonder how long are the cube's sides so we can know just how large was it ? . . . building larger than 2x2x2 meter cube would require a help of a robot
It was about 49 inches on each side.
@@StayFawnTop thanks but I don't use the imperial system, I use the metric system :/ atleast it's nothing that google can't fix . . . with a quick conversion that's 1,24meters
