No he was not designed to instill pride in that community. He was married and his wife died pregnant (thus he lost his unborn kid as well). This plus his lack of religious faith caused him to have a certain look on life.
You are correct, I thought I pinned a comment where I admit was going off of bad information. I saw an interview where the tv version was made to be a pride character not the OG version from the comics
So glad Darwin’s actor gets a new superhero chance because I always thought he was low-key in his acting as mutant not just his op comic powers, always thought the dude played the role as intelligent and confident really well his character just wasn’t given enough script or screen time at all

I blams the Arrow Verse for ruining this character. Yeah the Mister Terrific in the arrow verse is not the real Mister Terrific, but still. They ruin this character.
In the arrowverse version of Mr terrific I think it was the waste of time because they made him a sidekick instead of making him an actual superhero just like Flash and arrow end my issue is why did they made Mr terrific day they change his orientation is love interest was a female not a male in the arrowverse but I just feel like it was just for some token reasons that they made him gay I have no problem with gay protagonist but I feel like they should be an original Gay superhero protagonist I don't think it's a good idea to change straight superheroes orientation for no reason just for the sake of diversity
I just feel like in the DC universe they need to be play some creative gay superheroes original once that are unknown so they need to be original in the DC universe and the Marvel universe

@@WholeViews the way master Gunn is promoting the movie by leaking his shoots fishing for opinions that in itself is woke asf lol the woke isn’t just about lgbtq I don’t mind it at all and I’m not saying it as a bad thing but again look at how many superhero’s there are in the movie then the first promotional leaks ft who mr terrific look up what he is supposed to symbolize see most think I mean we about to get Jon Kent sm which Corenswet ironically checks that box and I don’t mean in a bad way the movie would hit and destroy box office and internet if Cavill and Corenswet were cast as father and son but that’s not what I mean when I say woke but it probably will cater to the rainbow community which again isn’t a bad thing just don’t be caught off guard

James Gunn needs to stay well away from the Arrowverse version of Mr Terrific, especially any insinuation of him being a representative of the alphabet community. That foolishness was NOT how Mr Terrific should be depicted.
