I ordered a set of VZ Hand Polished G10 grips with micarta texture and beveled bottom for a new 1911. The grips shipped the same day I ordered them which impressed me. Upon receipt, I inspected the grips and was not impressed. They looked and felt very cheap. I emailed VZ for an RA number to return the grips and sent them out the next day. They received the return the following week and charged me a 20% restocking fee. I emailed and asked why the restocking fee since I promptly returned the grips, and was told they were a "custom" order because of the beveled bottom. Since when is a beveled bottom a custom option for a 1911? Maybe if they focus on producing a better product, people won't return them. They won't make another cent from me.
Hey! Last year, I tried to request a military discount on VZ grips. I followed the instructions on their website by emailing them all the requested documents. As a result, I'm still waiting for a response from you. I can't say it was a bad experience because they have yet to respond. In the meantime, I have chosen not to buy the Colt Cobra grips due to the warning that they will not fit the King Cobra.

Never liked VZ just based on their material selection. Not a g10 fan esp for the price. Bummer they dont even fit well. And have bad customer service
