I am too late to watch the movie, but when I finished watching, boy I had goosebumps! Two of my fav parts : 1) Someone telling Ranbeer "you need to go thru real pain to make music" and in the climax Ranbir saying " I dont wanna b famous I want an unbroken heart" 2) Ranbir saying" Sean Morrison showed his finger and the crowd screamed " and as the story unfolds Ranbir himself shows it and the crowd cheers for him. On top of it Rahman music. Sheer brillliant movie
Never seen an actor immersing himself so deep into the character throughout the movie....Hats Off...... Thanks a lot Ranbir, Imtiaz, Rahman, Mohit and all others who have put up their heart and soul in creating this Masterpiece.....

You missed Nargis bro, i felt no other actress would have done that role better than her. Her role wasn't that big, but there is something special about her in this movie. When someone praise everyone else except her, i feel sad. She is new but she has done a great job. Everything else you said deserves millions of thumbs ups.

Bro when this movie was released I didn't watch it nor the following years when it was telecasted, but now in 2024, typing this comment today 11 July, I went to watch this movie in theatres as it is re-released, trust me, this movie is a masterpiece. Imtiaz Ali broke our hearts.
I feel like there are many who would do a much better job than Nargis. But people also forget the looks of an actor and how it shapes the story. Her face was perfect for this I feel like, a pretty and popular Kashmiri girl, never explored the general scene of Delhi, and wanting to do so.
I saw it once in 2013 or so, i was 15 and very naive at that stage, i just saw it for the sake of watching and did not understand anything. On its re-release i decided to go for it, remembering nothing but the fact it is a story of a musician. I have to say the this is something beyond words, Ranbir’s acting, Rahman’s music, Mohit Chauhan’s voice and Imtiaz with the story. All of them like pieces of work complementing each other and wanting to make something special

No point of a sequel, the story was wrapped up. The descent of his doom was all because of love, the love was Heer, who died. There's no purpose of the character anymore, he either died, or his mental state got worse, unless he seeked help, which would make for a completely different plot so it wouldn't really make sense.
only few people who can understand the journey of a rockstar and how well its depicted .. in this movie .. love .. in other Rockstar's life it can be childhood like Curt Kobain
