Ddu ddu ddu really hits different. The rock ballad genre is really a breath of fresh air from moonbyul which also reminds me of a sad anime ending song.
Thanks for addressing the rbvv issue. Some people might not be aware and this issue needs to be raised. They've been going at it since Hwasa's comeback and things are just getting ridiculous. Theyre not even trying to hide their intention of purposely sabotaging the girls, all for the sake of showing the investors that the company will be just fine even if Mamamoo members flop or they leave the company in the near future. Its outrageous, Mamamoo deserve better.
I don't usually like ballads much but when it's mamamoo!! waw and 6equence's ballads have me in a chokehold, especially ddudduddu ☠️ it's my fav for now
After watching the live versions of those two ballads, I am not ok. I can't listen to them all the time cuz I hurt but it's so good
To explain ddu ddu ddu, she said in a naver article that she bases some of her lyrics in her past relationship, she still uses her experience for the song, but the whole album is NOT her experience. Just some lyrics. But anyways, ddu ddu ddu for me, its her best song so far.

She really outdid herself and more.. How lucky are we to get 7 songs of gorgeous Moon Byul vocaIs? I really can't pick a favorite. Even her intro song Synopsis is a contender. I was surprised to find out there was a bit more than what was in the Synopsis Scene 1 video. I just love the vibe of that song. So so proud of Moon Byul!
Solar did an interview with Moon Byul on Solarsido which dropped today. Maybe you can consider reacting to that when the subs are out, which usually takes about 2-3 days. It's an 11 min video and looks really funny, as expected when you have Moonsun. Hwasa also hosted Studio Moon Night for Moon Byul which also looks super fun, but it's long and will be awhile before subs are up I would think.
Really sucked that RBW dropped the ball. Just so disappointing. But Moomoos have been streaming hard. So happy to see the Lunatic break 1M this morning. Hoping we can get to 2M soon! Thanks again for the reaction!

The thing that strikes me the most about G999 and Lunatic is how young they sound. it's as though she's an audacious, ambitious rookie on a caffeine and sugar diet who's bursting with energy and enthusiasm and the unfiltered joy of making music and creating videos. They're a blast of crisp mountain air clearing away the smog of city life. Add in the storyline of 6equence that turns it into a cohesive concept album, the social consciousness and pathbreaking leadership of the groundbreaking Shutdown, and the soulful, personal reflections in Ddu Ddu and For Me and I think 6equence joins Blue;S and Maria as another masterpiece EP in their discography.
RBW ... sigh. At this point about the only thing I still like about them is their music production on MMM songs. They tend to use less vocal processing than other companies and they have a preference for real instruments, both of which contribute to a more organic sound that allows MMM's talent and the expressiveness of their vocals to shine brightly. Whether it's a pop dance track or a ballad I find RBW's production style with MMM to be more warm and inviting than the vast majority of kpop. By contrast, my biggest complaint with Wheein's new album is that her vocals were so autotuned and compressed that at times she sounded like any other generic singer. Of course you can't completely obscure her brilliance but I kept finding myself blinking in the smog of overly processed sound trying to find the real Wheein in the haze. Some of the songs are great but overall the album isn't friendly to my ears and my taste in sound and that's going to keep me from listening to it very often.
That's exactly how I felt... I love Wheeinie and her vocals is just heavenly... but since on the first listen, I had weird feelings when I heard Make Me Happy. It just sounded... weird..? I thought it was just me and that's because they wanted a dreamy feel, but I really felt wonky when listening to MMH. I haven't really had the chance to listen to the rest of her track properly, but I'd hope there will be lesser processing on her vocals?
@@hq3727 The rest of the album is much the same but I've only listened to most of the other songs once to keep them fresh. I like to wait for the album to arrive before obsessing over the b-sides. :) I'm sure the album will grow on me as I get used to it but I doubt it will become on of my faves.
I think we're so used to autotune and the other tricks producers use these days that most people don't even notice it. To my ears when you snap every note to perfect pitch and thicken it by compressing the sound it produces a slurred tone that's unnatural and de-personalized. We're not used to it to this extent with MMM and that might be why it sounded weird to you. Agree that processing can be used as a tool to create a dreamy effect as in Pink Cloud and then I'm usually fine with it as an artistic choice but I think they were too heavy handed with Whee and simply layered on the processing on principle because that's the current standard for pop production. Most idols are only adequate singers and processing can make them sound a little better than they actually are but with a great singer like Wheein it works the other way and makes her sound more average and generic. Anyway, fwiw that's my 2 cents on it.
I really love ddu ddu ddu there's a live version she sings that show her talent as vocalist it's gonna be that kind of special song for Moonbyul, for me it's good it goes really well with ddu ddu ddu as the last two song also ddu ddu it's really good, lunatic and shutdown are my favorite tho it's really just another vest album, ah and probably there's going to be the release of two other MV of ddu and for me or something like that in the next week
Just to talk about rbw it's really lower than the bare minimum they had problem with the file of the song too it couldn't be accepted for music broadcast for a day, for an hour without the MV without the eng on release after being late uploading the subs another hour later might be good for their standard but they haven't even uploaded a true translation it's just the English version in fact 1thek subs are the actual translation it's just insane they really don't have any respect for Mamamoo art anymore or just as their artist the same with vromance basically

ddu ddu ddu and for me really suits her voice quality. it shines really well, i hope rbw showcase her vocals even more because we all know that she deserve more songs like that. esp her high notes in ddu ddu ddu, it's been my favorite since they drop it Hahahaha. i would really love to hear more moonbyul vocals soon.
I'm really happy that moonbyul really working with her vocals this year. so very very happy for her, she's able to show her voice today unlike the past years.
RBW didn't do their work on time, and we all know that it's really disappointing, moonbyul also said that she's upset on what happened. but still, moos (we) did a good work and stream as much as we can, and we're now at 2.1 million views and lunatic has been on top of iTunes chart since last day.

I think the 2 breakup songs make sense For Me is the immediate break up and Ddu Ddu Ddu is a few weeks later. Looking back, possibly having to deal with ex at work or in your social group. My favorite is definitely Lunatic, G999 next. I think Shutdown is the most important song, but I'll listen to those other two more often.

Yeah, I understand. That day I was so confused too. I feel so sad about the entertainment care of Onewe too. I hope every group and soloist takes more care in the future. Also, I really loved these songs. She is just amazing. I was super excited about an English version of Lunatic too. The feeling was different. I just freaking love her.

I honestly don't get the constant RBW bashing. It's a simple mistake any human can make and other much bigger companies have done the same thing and worse (SM with RV), maybe it was a new staff member. Who knows.
The consensus is that it was intentional. As I said 1theK had it ready with the translated English subs ready to go. Mamamoo channel used the English version lyrics, which is not the same thing. Hwasa also spoke about how her album was rushed by them as well and she wasn’t happy with it. Moonbyul also visibly upset when she had to face fans and apologize for the mishap (not even her fault)
