I love the Bluetooth remote at the end of my hoses. I just got another Festool CT 36 and the separator. Love it

Great video, always nice to see how another contractor does it! I have my CT36 with a cyclone on it, and cloth bags for my drywall sanding remodels. I have the Planex easy also, but recently upgraded to the newer version with the light. They both are great, but I would be lying if I said the light on the newer version wasn't a game changer! Great content, keep it coming....I blame you just a little for my Wera and Knipex obsession...but I wouldn't have it any other way!

The light looks really nice! How does the cyclone work out with drywall dust? Does it actually get the dust and keep the bag clean and suction high? I need to get one if so 😅

@@MillisConstruction on a typical 3 room sand for a kitchen and adjoining rooms, about a1/4 full of dust, and it goes right in the trash can instead of the bag. I have the Kapex and all interior Festool cutting and sanding tools hooked to it on a whole remodel also, and it collects everything really well. The vacuum stays nice and light and I haven't changed the bag in more than a year. It has paid for itself many times over. Well worth it....

First time shooting entire video in 4K, let me know if it made any difference! Jobsite video portions were shot in 5.3K

I have a few friends in the construction industry, one of them, a painter/decorator, asked a plasterer mate of mine if he wanted to go halves on a Festool giraffe sander. They haven't spoken since!
There's nothing wrong with Festool's sanders, and their vacuums are very highly rated AFAIK but a good plasterer will never have a need for a giraffe sander ;-)

I bought a porter cable vacuum and sander in roughly 1997 when I started removing popcorn ceilings and it’s still going today. I did replace the motor once though. You’re right, they are worth their weight if you are concerned about keeping the dust down and everyone should be really. Even if you’re just doing new construction. That festtool is definitely nicer than my set up but honestly, I couldn’t justify the upgrade because mine works great overall. I did add a dust Deputy like in the link I’ll provide below because that traps 95% of the dust and I rarely have to empty a bag anymore, which means the bag isn’t clogging up and the suction doesn’t dwindle as you go. Now that I’m full-time UA-cam, I don’t really have a need for it unless they want to send me one someday. Level5 Tools just sent me a full set of taping tools, so who knows, they might.
    Here’s my setup

I just tried to click on your festool links and they aren’t clickable and I can’t copy them. But the Amazon ones work. You may need to change the link so it has the HTTPS or WWW before it. Don’t want you to lose out

That Porter Cable is a very solid setup too, buying the Festool one for me really has a lot more to do with the “system” functionality that they have and all, once you’re in the lineup you tend to just keep expanding it. How’re you guys feeling? My wife ended up getting Covid maybe a week ago and then I came down with it maybe 2-3 days ago. It really knocks you down for sure 😑. Here’s hoping we all feel better soon!
That was my first time using the ToolNut affiliate setup and I did their “shorten link” like I do with Amazon but I guess theirs isn’t working well yet, I switched them all to the full links, hopefully it works now.

I’d love to, with all the jobs lately it’s a mess though. Hopefully we’ll be slowed down for a bit this winter and I can get on that 😅

Festool is famous for its systainer and soooo popular at all carpenters and drywall workers. Myght have some reason. Never the less I find the pack out from Milwaukee wide better.
