literally just do TYSO jam sessions and let musicians pop off with fun interviews like this. Every musician you've had on the show crushed it. George Krikes earned my respect solid vocals and guitar playing with a chill vibe.
Such a beautiful cover. Thank you for putting it out as a clip to enjoy on its own. Don't know why but this makes me very emotional. An incredible song. 😊
I cried so hard on the I don't wanna grow up. This one had me bawling, too, just been dwelling in depression trying to fight the negative emotions. I know I'm not alone
Rick, you Can and you Did SING. Believe in yourself. Dont be embarrassed. I saw how you felt after hitting that note and then giving up. I get that same feeling. Keep going, dude. You're awesome ❤
yesterday night I came back from the pub, a little tipsy, and youtube recommended this, and duuuuude I was crying like a baby, such a beautiful version
Sooooo fkng clean bro, this dude can wail vocally, there was not a millisecond of dissonance in that song!!!i gotta check out this episode next, ive been rocked recently by Rick's talent for comedy and instantaneous wit, first thing i did after watching a couple of these episodes is jumped on punchup to try and convince my mom to score tix for us to see him in Houston Nov 7th! Once i show her your Surrounded 100% Improv set, she'll jump on board 🤘😜🤙
Idk why this clip doesn’t have millions of views already As a someone who has been listening and playing music since I was 10, Rick having all these musicians on really just puts a spark in me
Bruh this was great, i agree - that was a billy joel song? It was DEFINITELY pitch perfect, soulful with excellent vibrato and everything, i didnt hear one second of dissonance......freakin awesome Also, is that really Rick's brother? I just recently discovered Rick (like 5 days ago) so im learnin all about his dynamic and style....definitely gonna try to score tickets to hus upcoming show 🤘😜🤙
Watching teddy listening was really interesting as his expression was one that I've seen so many times when I was in a band, we would be introduced to some of the great songs of the past from numerous artist beatles ect that a member would bring in that we hadn't heard, and even though it was from a complete different genre to what we played or listened too usually would look at each other like that during the song as our minds were blown. Good musicians listen differently, and Teddy obviously has a great ear for good music it was great to watch.
This guy is fucking amazing! Can you clip all of the song parts (tyso sessions)??? I was already planning on showing my girlfriend all of the performances from this episode anyway!!!

The brilliance here is we get to know these artists with their shoes off, THEN we get the honor of hearing them perform ❤
I think people forgot just how great of a song writer Billy Joel is.
Who knows Billy Joel and forgot lol
@@ripsett6638 no one forgot, he's just an older generation and young people don't listen to older songs unfortunately

Great description ❤
Teddy somehow sings AND listens like an angel - such a wholesome ep :)
He Really Needs to put more music out on his channel. Covers or Originals who cares. He's great 🤌🏼🔥🤍
Rick you HAD that note - BELIEVE!
This episode was a tear jerker. Props to Rick for bringing these beautiful musicians together

This is absolutely awesome. I love Teddy's reaction. You can tell he really respects George as an artist
those progressions are something else, just perfect. Just The Way You Are is another one
A rare instance of three genuine people being themselves and enjoy l each other company. What a genuine listen Al the way through .

Rick, please sing more. Don't shy away my dude. You got a nice voice.
no. no he does not. please do not. stick to comedy and let the singers sing.
“Just go ahead and add every Billy Joel song to your playlist” is such sage advice Rick
I watched the whole thing and came back for this. Lots O talent in that room!

I appreciate you posting this separately so I don't have to comb through the ep every time I wanna hear this masterpiece.
So thankful that you put out these clips, I've rewatched these so many times

RICK! This is better than NPR Tiny desk what a genius!
How George does those walk up chord progressions will forever blow my mind and my crappy guitar skills!
❤❤❤❤ love this song...
This George cat has a fantastic voice.
His voice is magic
This is beautiful. It also occurs to me that it might be a good time for Billy Strings to have a session with Dr. Glassman
This is effortless guitar, masterful stuff.
Not many famous people could share the stage and genuinely enjoy watching someone else perform their craft.
I like this acoustic cover lol I wish Teddy sang a bit in this 😭
such a great song, and performance.
Grew up w this song. Dude kills it!

I would pay good money for a chord chart that George is using in this version lol. I like it a lot better than the original. Y'all crushed it!
He feels like a mix of Bob Dylan and Cat "Yusuf" Stevens.
Very Cat Stevens vocally... not so much bob (as much as I love Dylan he's a shit singer but one of the greatest songwriters of all time)
@@Nephzi more like some of the alliteration of Bob in some ways.
Magical! ✨☘️ Love from Iceland
The Tom Waits cover in this episode destroyed me like I was middle aged ... oh wait.

I thought Rick’s voice and face melted slightly and he learned guitar. Or I’m just really high
