I have sleeping problems. But I have the same problem with over the counter sleep aids. If I take I need a minof 10 hours before needing to leave. I mean it is awful I cannot open eyes but awake. Not good.
Longest I've been awake is 3 days. But I'm type 2 diabetic and had cut caffenine out. I went with a friend for a coffee. I do not drink coffee but last time we went I bought a mini frozen mocha. This paticular day for the first time I got a medium and sipped slowly. So high sugar levels, caffeine and I take bupropion. On the way home I felt a jolt through my brain. I was awake 3 days. And even then I spent months waking up every 4 hours. It has taken forever to get back into a normal sleep pattern. I normally average 6 hours. It was not until they added a calming antidepressant to the bupropion that it was like 9 - 10 hours of sleep every night for 2 weeks. Back to 6-7 on a good night. But probably more like 5.5 to 6 hours.
