Maybe a better question to ask about 131 is "Does the original crew know we are still driving their tank around today?" That has to be neat for them... seeing there old tank. I am sure there is some amount of embarrassment but war is a bit chaotic.. Forgetting to blow up the tank is their gift to us..
It most likely ran outta petrol and they most likely were the only ones holding the line. They may have been mowed down when they bailed. Just some thoughts.
Mowed down, most didn't survive the war, the regiment knows their names but we'll never know....it's a shame to not know their names but they have their reasons and secrets....I've learned that the people closest to you can have secrets that will never be known. Take what you can get : a working Tiger 1.
the cupola and rubber trimmed roadwheels (plus the way they are laid out from front to back, starting as split and then joined) all point towards the earlier H1 version rather than a mid-production or later version
Bovington does not look like a museum , its looks like a market full of life and action ! Hope I can get the oportunity to visit it before I die , amazing place to visit .
+Brad Rolim Its really good, im only 14 and i had a 2hr motorbike ride there and back (in heavy rain on the way back) and it was really worth it. I definitely urge you to come down, especially on a day like tiger day.
As an ex-die maker, I SO wish I had the chance to rebuild/remake so many of the metal parts that these beautiful tanks so badly need. I have skills with a metal lathe, mill, drill press, and even CNC machines. I can build from blueprints, from sketches with measurements, or from CAD designs. I've made many one-off metal parts. Also, I have many skills as an automotive mechanic, including motor work and electrical. Unfortunately, I live on the wrong side of the pond (in the middle of the US, in fact). Watching these tanks roll by in your video made me feel like I was 9 years old, as I sat here in wide-eyed wonder. Thank you, Jingles, for being so wonderful to us and sharing this video!
Thanks for posting this! And thanks in particular for going over to captions when the tanks rolled out so we could hear the beauty of their sounds as they did so!
+RygaCommand You're right in that 131 was constructed as an H, but the Tiger was redesignated as Ausf. E in March 1943, while the new cupola wasn't introduced until around July 1943 so the cupola itself isn't diagnostic of H/E models and neither are the wheels.
Something I'm really looking forward to at Tankfest this year is the US M103 Heavy tank is taking to the arena (so says the program). I've been to Bovington countless times but every time I've gone there the M103 has been a static display, I've never seen it move before.
Pretty neat seeing so many enemy tanks in one place, no rnds down range. I still remember training beside the British chieftain tank. Being an infantry soldier at the time, dismounted with max fire power down range. Was a blast, literally
Jingles, I was lucky enough to be able to interview Mike Miller, who is the tank shop supervisor at the Canadian War Museum here in Ottawa (and also the current holder of my dream job)! He gave me the low down on what to expect from our two visitors days this summer but it will be no where near as awesome as seeing both Tiger 131 and Fury being put through their paces! It would be awesome if you could plan a trip out here to visit our humble collection of vehicles, including our own Leopard C2, Chieftain, Panther II, and many more.
Good video Mr. Jingles. I got to spend some time with Italian Leopard tankers while stationed in Vicenza during Desert Storm. They too had made some changes and add parts. We had a good discussion concerning their tank and my Abrams. Keep up the good work sir.
+The Mighty Jingles and u know the comet was actually pretty well armored it had 3 inches of front armor although they made the mistake of not sloping the armor
It's funny how when you're playing you never really get a real sense of how big the tanks are but that Tiger really is HUGE! And I mean even the Pz III was a fairly respectable hunk of metal.
Thanks for that Jingles. Its as about as close as I'll get for a while to seeing a live tank display. I've manage to visit the museum back in 2013, spending about 5 hours there but as you an anyone else who's been fortunate enough to get there will know that is only barely enough time to appreciate the collection.
'Royal dutch army sending a leopard 2a4' Sir GnomeLord... I'm not so sure if you're correct, because since 2011 we have sold all our armor! We only have one batallion of 15 leopard 2a6's (soon to be upgraded to 2a7) left, and its owned by germany, only we are renting it
Yup. We replaced 369 centurions and 130 amx 13's with 445 leopard 2 tanks... Which was quite a formidable army for a country thats tiny. in 1993 we wanted to upgrade 330 tanks to the 2a5 version, it didnt happen but we did upgrade 180 of them to the 2a6 version. in 2011 the government had a huge budget cut on the army and we basically sold all our tanks but 18 leopard 2a6's. Which we gifted to germany, so they could upgrade them to the new 2a7 version, and now we are renting them back. We now have just one batallion of 15 tanks, and 3 in reserve
Turned the volume on my headphones on max for the leopard. Im quite deaf now, but it was worth it. Seen it live on Tankfest 2012, and certainly most impressive sound and view. Thank you Jingles for this fantastic video.
Proud to be Canadian! Nice fact to know about the only one M4 Sherman out of the 50,000 built survived the entire war. It would be really interesting to know how many battles it was in and what action it saw during service. Really great video Mighty Jingles, I hope to see a lot more videos of The Bovington Tank Museum or other Museums.

Kuroko Shirai To you, I have to say: please don't change the subject. I was commenting about the quote, not the vehicle. And, *****, "While being shot at by other tanks." If it WAS just machineguns, why do you need all the extra armor?
Hallo Mighty Jingles, we (TEEC from Wot) here from Denmark well just say a big thanks for all your fantastic videos you have put on youtube. we all see them with at big smile like this video Tiger Day 2016 at The Bovington Tank Museum, i hope we see more from you in the furture. Good Day Quotes I hope everyone that is reading this is having a really good day. And if you are not, just know that in every new minute that passes you have an opportunity to change that.
Glad you had that vantage point to record these tanks. I do enjoy all that you recorded, but watching the Tiger roll out of it's pen is spectacular. I got to sit here and think about all the implications on the 20th century that one machine makes.
Jingles, I want to thank you for all these museum videos, I live in the USA and I am unable to go to the tank museum right now and for the foreseeable future. Thanks for bringing the tank museum to where I live!
+Attila Rischt just looked up the goliath. its soooo cuuuuuute:3WoT should put it in the game next year s an april fools prank. the goliath tracked mine.
The mighty Kitten-Krad armed with zero 0mm calibre machine guns, zero 0mm calibre cannons and is armoured with 0.5mm of paper. This tank is truly the most powerful tank ever made in history.
+Attila Rischt THIS! An April Fools Vehicle that is nothing more than a large Goliath-Carrier, that can only battle other Goliath-Carriers. And instead of a turret and cannon, it rolls a Goliath out a hatch in the front that you pilot using the mouse like you would the turret in arty mode. XD
Was in the cavalry in the Norwegian army, we had a bunch of Leopard I's. The thundering noise when a convoy came down the road was just amazing, like a freight train passing by.
just came back from a few days in Normandy. Yesterday did a tank ride at the tank museum, I got the commander spot. It was great weather, so a great experience. Now watching this video I could very well imagining ridining in that Tiger :-) One of the highlights for me of the trip was the PzIV in the tank museum. Never saw one in real life before. And in a nice setup in the museum. What a sight!
Mighty overlord Jingles forgive me for coming out of the mines but, we do pick just one name for our vehicles and things. It's the rest of the our now western allies that keep coming up with all the different names. :P Also one slight correction about the Tiger, it's not the Ausführung E as the main dead give away is the 4 filters on the back of the tank, which makes it an H1. Anyways really great video for Tiger day this year. Back to work.
Thank you for letting us hear the tanks themselves, and not doing a VO on those parts. Shows that you know how to respect these tanks, and to show them off to us just right!
My Father in law was part of the original forming of the 1st Armoured Div (USA) He and his crew went to North Africa in a M-3 Grant, lost it's tracks to a mine at Kessering Pass and got a M-4 later. I think he and his crew were in 3 different tanks before he was rotated home in winter of 44. One of the neatest stories was he said they shot down a stuka with the 37mm firing canister round just as the dive bomber was pulling out of his dive. Thanks for they video love the dioramas inside.
Great shop... Need to go there and have a look. Love the part about the Leopard 1. I have been a commander of this tank for 10 years and still gets a hard on, when I hear the sound of it. Nothing compares to a Leopard 1... Tanks for sharing...
I love going there as you get a sense of the scale of the tanks you are driving in WoT. Some of the Tier one tanks are still huge but in WoT they seem so small.
+4exgold I'm guessing the Churchill crews were so glad that they wouldn't have a Tiger firing back at them that they couldn't be bothered dealing with the crew. :P
+4exgold They were actually on top of a hill, with the Churchills at the bottom. If you've ever used one in World of Tanks, you know that you can crawl out of a tank with one leg missing and hop to safety before a Churchill will get halfway up the hill.
+Aaron Turner Lol. And didn't they knock out one of the Churchill which probably put them off a bit. Also as they didn't knock the tiger out it would still have the gun pointing at them, which was probably enough to out then off advancing until they established it was abandoned.
+daboomfex Early in the war (Africa campaign), both sides treated each other with respect and reverence. Some historians have called Montgomery and Rommel gentlemen due to the way their armies treated each other, honoring surrenders and treating POWs with dignity and compassion. There are even accounts of Rommel blatantly refusing orders from top Nazi officials.
Not being able to traverse your turret or elevate/depress the gun seems to be a pretty good reason to abandon a tank... It's basically useless at that point.
+lomparti well he did say that it was fired from close range so I'm guessing that also means that they would have been outnumbered and potentially surrounded, not much chance to flee especially fearing for your life
+lomparti In real life, a jammed turret basically means you're dead. You cant protect yourself anymore and if you try to run you'll eventually be blasted to bits.
+lomparti Pretty much any damage that keeps you from being able to fight is reason to abandon a tank. If you can't fight or move, all you are is a target. As a side note, I recall there being 3 types of tank kills. 1 - Mobility kill: the tank is tracked or otherwise immobilized. 2 - Firepower kill: the gun is rendered useless in some way. Tiger 131 would have been considered a firepower kill. 3 - Catastophic kill: the tank is knocked out or the crew is killed.
I've went to the national tank museum when it was in Northern North Carolina / Southern Virginia. It was huge. Unfortunately it got relocated closer to DC.
Amazing video! The tank footage are great and your subtitles just make it better! This museum looks like a fantastic place, with an excellent organisation
Liked the plug for the Musee des Blindes at Saumur, France. Brilliant armored museum as well. Think I took well over 1000 photos there. Last time I was TDY to Stuttgart I wanted to go to the German Army Tank Museum, but it's up North at Munster and the weather was shit. But the Auto-Technik Museum at Sinnsheim, Baden-Wutemburg, Ger has a great tank/AFV selection including a Panther that was absolutely turned inside out by an aerial bomb and has been reconstructed like a 3D puzzle. Been there twice. The 1st time I went they had a Tiger I with a huge chunk of side armor cut out so you could see inside, but it wasn't there the second time. They also have a Concord, Tu-144, and a Ju-52 that you can go inside.
Ahh, you didn't have to get into such details it's a joke, I don't remember but Jingles use this phrase in some of his videos fairly often. to be hones, I never tried war thunder, it simply didn't speak to me like WoT and Armored Warfare, so can't really judge it's appeal.
The noise is the exact reason for why I love the Leopard tanks. I've been to quite a few Army outreach events here in Denmark, and it's an absolute spectacle when they bring their tanks. One such event I think you'd love Jingles would be Åben Hede, where you get to experience a Centurion Mk 5/2, 2 Leopard 1A5DK, and a Leopard 2A5 firing live ammunition.
When i was in the tank museum last year, i had a nice chat with one of the old staff about how the Tiger 2 was knocked out. As you said, right above where the tracks are there is the damage caused by the shell which knocked the tank out. What surprised me was how he said that the chances of penetrating the tank from the angle which it did (roughly 130 degrees if the way the tank is pointing is 0) is around 1 in 100. Oh and i'm quite grumpy since when i was there they didn't have the Tortoise out. I could only see it in the back corner of the vehicle conservation garage. Guess i'll just have to go back some other time to see my favourite tank.
Re Tiger 131, i'm guessing the Germans were quite worried to have this power-house captured and in enemy hands. Indeed the British and Americans did analyze it very carefully. Nevertheless the Germans ultimately had no reason to worry - even a year later the allies had done nothing with this information. Instead of recognizing this German tank as the huge threat it was and realizing the Germans might do something dastardly like, have a lot more of them, and taking some action - rushing the M26 Pershing into production, improving anti tank cannon and man portable anti tank (the allies already had copies of the panzerfaust as well, much more lethal to tanks) or at least making a more useful (or less worthless) changes to the "bazooka", the allies did nothing. The German heavies continued to taunt and toy with allied tanks right up until 1945, allied anti tank weapons continued to fail to stop the German heavies, and thousands of needless casualties were taken. They knew the threat of this tank, knew exactly what it was down to the millimeter, and allies did nothing.
Jingles: If you get a chance look up the book titled "Barbara" or the 1972 paperback reprint "Hell has no Heroes" by Wayne Robinson. I first read it back in 1966 and it's as good a description of WW2 tank warfare you'll ever find. It also should be noted that Bovington is where British tank crews train and where the first tanks produced were tested and where the first ever tank museum was founded. Thus the 100 year history of the tank and the museum are the same!
The Tiger actually runs on the Museums Tiger II engine. Their Henschel tiger was claimed by a sherman but already disabled by its crew due to damage to its tracks and final drive. There are pictures showing this tank in a beet field with the turret turned 90 degrees. Awesome video, that roar of the maybach engine never gets boring!
"The ones we don't talk about" Sounds like somebody is still salty about a certain crew forgetting to blow up their Tiger. Or maybe they're just jealous because they didn't get to keep their tigers.
+Barley Sixseventwo Or maybe they were court-martialed and shot. Losing your tank in battle is one thing but letting the other side get their hands on it virtually intact would be viewed as assisting the enemy.
+Barley Sixseventwo They probably see it as some kind of honor thing. I'd just say they did the sensible thing and saved their lives, but soldiers are weird like that sometimes.
+Barley Sixseventwo Its possible the explosives didnt detonate and the crew didnt have time to go back to fix the problem since the enemy was so close. Or there were no explosives and the crew thought that back-up would arrive and theyd be able to retrieve the tank but things ended differently. Who knows what the real story is..
+wood1155 I've always wondered why would the Germans allowed so many valuable tank crews to be simply captured in Tunisia when the situation was so clearly hopeless? Those crews were simply priceless for their badly needed expertise which could have been used to reestablish armoured formations desperately needed elsewhere.
+ScottyFox Could have been worse. Don't forget that in the Winter of 41 when the Ivans launched their counter-offensive before Moscow, many experienced panzer crews were thrown away in 'scratch' infantry battalions because they didn't have working tanks for them.
Jingles, its been a few years since I went to a tank day at Bovi, last time there was a brilliant old chap who was Sherman crew in the war, he gave a great talk from the turret of a Sherman and went along the lines of 'of course we didnt like to trade shells with Tigers, due to us firing THESE at them (holds up a Sherman shell) and they were firing THESE back at us (holds up a Tiger shell) - great day, great chap and great tanks :)
I found myself giving tank ground guide instructions to the driver in my head. Could you imagine that monster coming at you up a road in Belgium. Gave me chills thinking about it.
I served with Leopard 1s during my time in the military (obligatory year of service for most youth in Norway) and I absolutely fell in love with the Leopard 1. It's such a beauty :)
I had my headphones in when I got rather loud and unexpected alert that this was uploaded. At first I was a bit annoyed but then I read what video this was and now the hearing damage is totally worth it.
With the Comet, that is exactly what happened last year on Tank Day at Lešany museum, the tank struggled a lot and moved very slowly, then it just gave for a bit (but they fixed it in the arena)...but it was kinda strange that the IS-3 in the arena was moving much more swiftly than the "last cruiser" tank :D
Ever thought about coming to another country for this kind of event? If you did, you can try Tankový den in Lešany, Czech Republic. It's a great event, and they have many other unique vehicles, too.
+The Mighty Jingles At 15:25, the Matilda's rear sprocket seems to have a high-rpm inner part. Is that because of video capturing, or is there truely some kind of final gearbox directly in the sprocket?
@themightjingles the problem with Aberdeen was that all their tanks just sat out in the rain for years. Bovington at least puts them inside! No wonder the bottom of the T14 fell out from rust.
A7V Tank was in Brisbane 2011 When the city Flood of that year and the Tank was got a Little wet( the museum is on Egde of the Brisbane River). As live in Brisbane A saw it out two or three ago At museum in Ispwich Queensland (The Workshop Rail Museum) in Hall, When down to Canberra in the Last year or so. It's was Capute By Austiralian Army of men the 7th Bridage. Jingles Thank info on the Tanks . Keep up great work
Gee... and here I was thinking on Monday that it was a Leo C1. But I was wrong. The C2 was a 1A3 hull with a 1A5 turret, the MEXAS kit and the other goodies mentioned. I think the Canadian Army only has about 60 or so left as of last year, with the rest of our tanks being a mix of Leo 2A4M (80) and 2A6Ms (20) that we bought from Germany and the Netherlands a few years back.
10:00 Is that Das Panzerlied I hear in the background?1
+PauseForGames es Braust uner Panzer, Im sturmwind dahin!
+PauseForGames You can also hear "Erika" at the end of the video.
yes it is
yes it was playing allday! which drove you mad by the end xd
+PauseForGames Jawohl Herr PauseForGames :p

The A7 in Australia (Mephisto) was captured as War Booty, by a Queensland regiment. For a very long time it was on display at the Queensland Museum.
Actually Jingles...Tiger 131 is a Tiger Version H, you can tell because of the "dust bin" cupola, feifel filters and rubber road wheels...Jingles?
+Niall King *Cocks gun*
It's also boxy....
+Venomous Games
So is the tiger 1E?
+Niall King I play War Thunder and that makes me an expert! The funny things on the back of the Tiger are only on the Tiger1 H!
the cupola and rubber trimmed roadwheels (plus the way they are laid out from front to back, starting as split and then joined) all point towards the earlier H1 version rather than a mid-production or later version

Thanks for posting this! And thanks in particular for going over to captions when the tanks rolled out so we could hear the beauty of their sounds as they did so!
Is the tiger really ausf E? I mean the turret is like ausf H, the boogie wheels are like ausf H and it has the pipes on the engine like ausf H.
+RygaCommand Yes
Perhaps restoration saw many unfit tigers used to make 131 operable.
+RygaCommand its and early tiger so it must be ausf H
It is a Ausf H , not a E. You can tell by the cupola and the road wheels, the Ausf E did not have rubber lining on the outside of the road wheels
+RygaCommand You're right in that 131 was constructed as an H, but the Tiger was redesignated as Ausf. E in March 1943, while the new cupola wasn't introduced until around July 1943 so the cupola itself isn't diagnostic of H/E models and neither are the wheels.

definitely not used to the WoT intro music in a non-WoT video.
Does it really matter?
Just stating my mind
Why not? Tiger Day is a world of tanks after all.
Pretty neat seeing so many enemy tanks in one place, no rnds down range. I still remember training beside the British chieftain tank. Being an infantry soldier at the time, dismounted with max fire power down range. Was a blast, literally
ok...the first 20 seconds should be your new intro video jingles
Yea that would be pretty cool
Jingles... your accent and the way you tell things... could listen for years! thank you for your videos!
Actually Jingles, Tiger 131 is a H model, as you can see from the commander cupo- Jingles?
+Niall King beat you to that comment about 2 hours prior. ;)
+xxNoobTubezz (xxNoobTubezz) *gun cocking sounds*

+MWSin1 sounds kinky
+VereniteGaming and painfull
Good video Mr. Jingles. I got to spend some time with Italian Leopard tankers while stationed in Vicenza during Desert Storm. They too had made some changes and add parts. We had a good discussion concerning their tank and my Abrams. Keep up the good work sir.
Was that a Tiger II turret in front of the Camera when Jingles was filming the Leopard on the Hill?
+The Hoovie No, it was a Chieftain turret.
+The Mighty Jingles where are you I was looking for you
+The Mighty Jingles do know if bovington ever used the neutral steer on tiger 131 because i know the tiger 1 and 2 could do it
+The Mighty Jingles and u know the comet was actually pretty well armored it had 3 inches of front armor although they made the mistake of not sloping the armor
+Benjamin Davis unlucky. I met him twice at Tiger day
Thanks Jingles, I thoroughly enjoyed this video.
I use to be a USA Tanker back in the early 80's and I truly do miss it.

I think Tiger 1 was quite fast for that size and weight.
quite*
+Super_ Leggera oops let me fix. thanks
Indeed, allied "propaganda" said it was a big fat slow tank just no to afraid soldiers too much
Compared to lighter allied tanks it was a snail. That's Hoyt he allies said it looked so fat and slow.
it was as mobile as a Panzer IV in the field, so yes it was very mobile
Cool. Thanks Jingles for presenting these vids of Tiger Day '16
'Royal dutch army sending a leopard 2a4'

+Jembley I'm sure that money went somewhere useful, like paying someone to lazy to work or a study on the mating habits of slime mold.
Chris Helt 100% on paying people too lazy to work, I can assure you that.
Turned the volume on my headphones on max for the leopard. Im quite deaf now, but it was worth it. Seen it live on Tankfest 2012, and certainly most impressive sound and view. Thank you Jingles for this fantastic video.
This is NOT where WG recorded tank engine sounds for patch 9.14...

It would be really interesting to know how many battles it was in and what action it saw during service. Really great video Mighty Jingles, I hope to see a lot more videos of The Bovington Tank Museum or other Museums.
17:08 Jingles, you fool! It's "The gun was that good...." not "The gun that was good..." :D
English grammar with Professor Jingles!
:D
gun cocking sounds
FarmingtonS9 Pretty sure it’s more likely ‘The gun that was _so_ good’.
Made it to the museum in March of 2016 as part of our trip to Scotland and England, very well done!
"Someone would actually have to get into this tank and drive it up and down the firing range, while being shot at by other tanks. I dunno about you, but to me that sounds like a REALLY good motivation to NOT get onto the Sergeant Major's shit list."

+Wavelength RenegadeReef same here
+Wavelength RenegadeReef That is one of the best tanks EVER.

I was at Tiger Day last year, it was a lot of fun. Though the weather was terrible.
+Lolomlas Was perfect this year
Glad you had that vantage point to record these tanks. I do enjoy all that you recorded, but watching the Tiger roll out of it's pen is spectacular. I got to sit here and think about all the implications on the 20th century that one machine makes.
Couldn't remember the name of the AC 1 sentinel, so my brain instantly filled in the gap with "Dick Tank!" Thank you brain!
+JollyShot "chode tank"
+JollyShot Same here. Lolz
I was thinking, what was the name of that tank? the one with the dick? lol
+JollyShot And AC 1 is regular "DT" :D The AC 3 with howitzer is "short DT" and AC 4 .. gooood lord that is loooong :-)
I first thought it was a Sherman.
Shame on me ^^
Jingles, I want to thank you for all these museum videos, I live in the USA and I am unable to go to the tank museum right now and for the foreseeable future. Thanks for bringing the tank museum to where I live!
a live comet driving around quickybabys wet dream
+Gabelhelm Sogarbraten
Can't remember the last time I saw a Comet alive for that long.
AgentTasmania i also always forget those lat times :P
+Gabelhelm Sogarbraten dont worry his new favorite tank is going to be the grille
It never gets old. Never. Love these every year, Jingles! Thank you and keep up the good work!
We all know the main star of the event was the Kettenkrad. You just can't outclass that thing. Maybe if they had a Goliath.
XD
+fluttercutter A ramming only april fools where you detonate on the enemy. XD
And make the guns heal, just for added lulz
Was in the cavalry in the Norwegian army, we had a bunch of Leopard I's. The thundering noise when a convoy came down the road was just amazing, like a freight train passing by.
Actually Jingles the Fury is a M4A2E8
just came back from a few days in Normandy. Yesterday did a tank ride at the tank museum, I got the commander spot. It was great weather, so a great experience. Now watching this video I could very well imagining ridining in that Tiger :-)
One of the highlights for me of the trip was the PzIV in the tank museum. Never saw one in real life before. And in a nice setup in the museum. What a sight!
I do love to see a running Comet!
Pity they couldn't have a Churchill running, like the ones that knocked 131 out of action.
Jingles, Thank you so much for showing us 'Tiger Day' in glorious detail for those of us not lucky enough to get there.
+Klaus Weßling It's an Ausf. E despite the filters, not an H1.
Thanks for they video love the dioramas inside.
jingles how many kills do i need to get on a warthunder replay to be featured on your channel?
Great shop... Need to go there and have a look. Love the part about the Leopard 1. I have been a commander of this tank for 10 years and still gets a hard on, when I hear the sound of it. Nothing compares to a Leopard 1...
Tanks for sharing...
Yet another reason to venture across the pond. We have a Sherman tank at the VA in Olds Alberta Canada it is a treat to see but nothing like this.
Makes me realise how lucky I am to live only an hour from Bovington!
I love going there as you get a sense of the scale of the tanks you are driving in WoT. Some of the Tier one tanks are still huge but in WoT they seem so small.
but how did the Tiger 131 crew manage to escape the scene alive with the Churchill right there?
+4exgold
I'm guessing the Churchill crews were so glad that they wouldn't have a Tiger firing back at them that they couldn't be bothered dealing with the crew.
Aaron Turner hehe, nice one
The Valentine also eventually got the OQF 75mm gun as of Mk.XI
And the 6-pdr had a modest HE round that would suffice for knocking down MG nests.
It seems to my like a jammed turret is a pretty bad excuse to abandon a tank. Especially a tiger with good armor.
You guys are all wrong; just use your repair kit!
11:44 thought he was going to run over your camera!
would be a great view
Amazing video! The tank footage are great and your subtitles just make it better!
This museum looks like a fantastic place, with an excellent organisation
Damn that leo 1 was the best part of the vid, such a slick design on that tank.
how can you even say that? so many other iconic tanks that shaped world war 2.
Yatsura Boy he likes what he likes
13:00 Panzerlied started playing in my head.
i think i will never stop loving the leopard 1
+Steffen Mikkelsen Made of ammoracks :P
+James Lansbury in wot yes but it's one of the most effective tanks in the world btw they made the armour on the Leopard 2 better
Oh no, not this realistic graphics tank game again.
haha
Gaming is like the real life nowadays:
It doesn't matter how shitty the gameplay is, if the graphics are good enought everyone will pay for it.
+MrTorgue *cough* no mans sky was shitty and barely anybody still plays it*cough*
Jailhouse Bradley go fuck urself u already know your shitty spongebob games are way worse u piece of jack shit
So lovely to see that u got Rita out ;)
Great footage thanks Jingles and Bovington for the new Location.
I destroyed a fury once. I kind of felt bad for Brad Pitt but then I remembered that Shia LaBeouf was there aswell.....
lol
So you just did it?
WAIT! he isn't dead,Shia surprise.theres a gun to your head and death in his eyes...
Is this the second time a ran into you? I think we had some type of argument before. You were mad my old name was "FalklandsIsBritishTerritory".
Best comment on the page ! Nailed it big time !
6:00 here we see the average console WoT player in its natural habitat.
+war thunder, i still respect WoT
Sergio Garcia ??
+Ole Snejbjerg War Thunder is better then WoT
WOT was too hyped but was afully bad for me
The Tiger actually runs on the Museums Tiger II engine. Their Henschel tiger was claimed by a sherman but already disabled by its crew due to damage to its tracks and final drive. There are pictures showing this tank in a beet field with the turret turned 90 degrees.
Awesome video, that roar of the maybach engine never gets boring!
Its the same engine fool
"The ones we don't talk about"
Sounds like somebody is still salty about a certain crew forgetting to blow up their Tiger.
Don't forget that in the Winter of 41 when the Ivans launched their counter-offensive before Moscow, many experienced panzer crews were thrown away in 'scratch' infantry battalions because they didn't have working tanks for them.
there's a fully operational comet down the curragh camp in ireland. the irish army didn't retire them until 1977
Someone get them an oil can!
+Lor_ doesn't matter how much oil or grease you use the tracks will always squeak in turns
Jingles, its been a few years since I went to a tank day at Bovi, last time there was a brilliant old chap who was Sherman crew in the war, he gave a great talk from the turret of a Sherman and went along the lines of 'of course we didnt like to trade shells with Tigers, due to us firing THESE at them (holds up a Sherman shell) and they were firing THESE back at us (holds up a Tiger shell) - great day, great chap and great tanks :)
those tanks need some WD-40
and BOOM..you see how cool it is?
+GTRR35 Nismo lol
I went to the tank museum about 2 weeks ago and they drove around a couple of tanks, one of which was the Canadian Leopard 1!
That's actually the exact leopard me and my dad saw driving round
JINGLES! you do know porn is banned on UA-cam right?!
Thanks for this annually video Jingles! I can't wait to finally go myself one day in the far future.
ACHTUNG, TIGER!!
Those are my two favorites Sherman M4A3E8 (Easy eight) and ofcourse the Tiger!!
love the tank museum for 16 years (my entire life) I have been down at least once a year and there is always so much to do
I went here a few weeks ago during the Easter break! Awesome experience, lot of cool tanks on display.
I found myself giving tank ground guide instructions to the driver in my head. Could you imagine that monster coming at you up a road in Belgium. Gave me chills thinking about it.
I like the fact that while you were chatting with the gentleman about A11, at some point Panzerlied started playing in the background in the museum :D
That was very cool!! Thank you! Might be as close as I'll be able to get to Bovington. Really enjoyed this...thank you for posting it.
this is going to be one of my goals, to travel there and took look at these marvellous tanks
Great video :) one day I will visit this museum
+The Mighty Jingles At 15:25, the Matilda's rear sprocket seems to have a high-rpm inner part. Is that because of video capturing, or is there truely some kind of final gearbox directly in the sprocket?
@themightjingles the problem with Aberdeen was that all their tanks just sat out in the rain for years. Bovington at least puts them inside! No wonder the bottom of the T14 fell out from rust.
Awesome, been waiting for the next "Tank Day" Jingles vid!!. Wow the Covenantor @ 3:56, sooo stealthy looking. (love playing it believe it or not)
A7V Tank was in Brisbane 2011 When the city Flood of that year and the Tank was got a Little wet( the museum is on Egde of the Brisbane River). Keep up great work
Did anyone realize in the arena when jingles was reviewing the Matilda I that they were playing Panzerlied?
Was there last year for the tank fest and it's a great day out. I live nearby and my brother and I have a yearly pass.
Love your videos and historical lessons! Thanks! Keep doing it!
Gee... and here I was thinking on Monday that it was a Leo C1.
