That last connector, which you said goes to the ignition switch, is actually for the kill switch in the rh cluster. The ignition switch wires are 3 spades, 1 brown/blue (from battery), 1 white (key on supply to rest of harness, and 1 white/brown (lights supply to main light switch).
@@mickgerard6696 Indeed Mick I've done plenty myself and actually don't mind it once I get stuck into it and now I think I'm past the worst stage! I hope!
I put in a new harness in my '69 TIger a while back which I was restoring. The shop owner said he could get me a new harnessl for $200 or a new old stock harness for $350. I spent the extra money on a new harness and I am glad I did as it was mostly all plug and play. In a world with substandard parts it is really hard to beat new old stock if you can find it.
Good progress Angus, and I hope you had a good break. Did you see your Fury was in Classic Bike Guide magazine this month? Looks like its a photo from the Stafford show with the display material in the background. Its amongst an article on the P92 Bandit framed isolastic B50, quite detailed analysis of the one Sammy Miller rebuilt.
Yes Andrew had a great break thank you. No I haven’t seen the CBG article as I don’t subscribe; however, I bet it was written by Frank Westworth? He’s reproduced that photo before in a terribly inaccurate feature on the P30s.
@@BSAPowerSet Its not a bad article, by Alan Cathcart I think, although it does state the frame was designed by Rob North and that is not confirmed. I thought it was drawn by Bert Hopwood himself and based on the Reynolds special frame they built for Percy Tait's 500 racer.
@@andrewwalker8640 I agree entirely Andrew - designed by Hopwood with help from Ken Sprayson at Reynolds. Cathcart has spouted rubbish regarding Furys before ad he's been written to about it.

Thanks again Rick - I do have the wiring diagram that came with the harness so have a reference when I begin to connect up.
Ahh wiring! Most of us it seems to be some sort of black magic/witchcraft. I’ve done a few of these and it’s always a learning experience !

Couldn’t agree more. Thanks for the interest and comment.
