How My Passion Started with Flowers - Bloomables Flower Bed - Drain Field

- I don't often talk about how I got started with my love of flowers. I figured since there has been a lot of new followers I should share a little more of how I started here at Garden Crossings. The Bloomables garden is looking great still so I wanted to give you a short tour of that and I wanted to share with you why we decided, for now, to plant grass on our new drain field.

Hi Heidi, thanks for sharing your story. Way to go for following your passion 😀
Thank you so much!
We day tripped to see your garden center just yesterday & so enjoyed our visit! Gardens exploding with blooms, lots of fluttering in the butterfly house & beautiful stock still available; we didn’t see a thing that looked tired or past it’s prime. I picked up a Lemonjade sedum I couldn’t find in my area, along with a beautiful mum & something new to try in our garden. Staff was helpful & recommended a nearby spot for lunch (it was delicious). 100% worth the 2-hour drive!❤
Thank you for taking a drive to see us. I am glad you found a treasure to take home.
Thank you Heidi for sharing your story ❤ your passion shows through your beautiful gardens
Thank you!!
I have learned so much from your video's. I tried several new varieties of plants this year that I saw on your channel. Some have done well, others not so much, but I now know what to plant. My fox glove did the exact same thing that yours did. I was so surprised how beautiful it is right now. I can't wait to see how my garden does next year.
Plants can be trial and error. We all have different planting conditions. We all learn from what works and what doesnt.
Heidi, you have a God given talent in describing the plants and the beauty in them. I could literally listen to you and see all the beautiful flowers with my eyes closed. No one on UA-cam can compare when it comes to your way of describing each and every aspect of the plant. Sending much love from Alabama.
Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot to me!!!!
I love your story and your enthusiasm. It's always a pleasure to watch what you post. Plants are my passion too, and, you're right. When you talk about them it just makes you happy. Thank you!
Plants make people happy😁
Those plants in the Bloomables are gorgeous. Just so you know, vermillionaire is NOT deer resistant nor is the Jacob’s ladder. I learned that information the hard way.
Good to know!
I love all your hard work and success, how nice to be surrounded with all the beauty and following your passion 🌸🌼🌺
Love hearing more about you Heidi ! Wish you all the best for years to come!
Thank you for the kind words

Good morning. I discovered your videos earlier this spring and have been following on a regular basis. Thank you and I will be visiting in the future.
Thank you for following! We would love to have you come see us.
Thank you for sharing. I wanted to know if you have ever heard of the plant "Four O'Clocks"? I have not seen them on any of your tutorials and that could be because they don't grow in your zone. But wanted to know what was your take on them. Your gardens are always so beautiful, thank you for sharing your knowledge on everything landscaping.
Thank you for asking. We do not grow four o'clocks. They would be an annual in our area. I looked them up and they are pretty
Good morning Heidi, I loved walking the gardens at the center. So very grateful for all the hard work. ❤❤❤ I was blown away. Came home with so many great ideas. And lots of plants. 😂

Thanks for sharing, Heidi. I appreciate the videos. It gives me ideas. What about a Big rock garden with many hardy rock garden plants??
Those Bloomsbles look great! I need nepeta Junior Walker and the white Scabiosa for next year. Great video- enjoyed it!
Thanks for watching!
Heidi, you share so many of our stories. I also became a gardener, after losing my healthcare career,d/t health changes post 2 car crashes in close succession. When I was enough healed,I learned to plant with my feet, giving the neighbours some humour in their days. Through good days & bad, I get out there when I can move better, and the garden is such a mental boost !
Thanks for delightful videos which have boosted my planting confidence,to bring compliments from many passersby. Good health to all 🌈
Thank you for the feedback, happy planting.
Wow. Thanks for sharing. Proof that anyone can garden!
Great plants. Great story. Thank you!
Thank you🌼
I noticed your plant markers I have plant markers and have used Avery clear labels with a laser printer. The laser printed plant label has lasted so many years in my gardens. I mean probably 15 or more years. Most gardeners would not know about that. Thought I would share. I enjoyed your video. Porterweed is a great plant for hummingbirds to drink nectar.
We use a laser printer as well. It works well.
Excellent. Heidi 💙
🌼💕🌼
I can’t believe that those foxgloves are still blooming!!! I wonder how they would do in the SE, zone 8 NC?
They should do fine in NC.
Heidi: have your kids got bitten by the garden bug? Love your story.
Not really... Not yet anyways.
