Hey guys just wondering if this was supposed to be an unlisted video? Want you guys to get the most views possible! Love you guys since the beginning! Keep it up!
Man, I almost passed out from laughter at the chicken part when I saw the video last night, but if you'd have kept in the melon part I'd be in the hospital!
Some of those blooper moments were even better than the scenes that made it to the skit. I lost it when he put down the fried chicken and picked up the watermelon XD
These blooper clips are soooo funny! Had me cracking up laughing…..and as a side note the girl is in this video is very pretty too. :) Thumbs up guys! G-Phi
***** As Katherine Le said, it's just a stereotype (a very old one, actually). Decades ago in the U.S. these kinds of racial stereotypes were much more common. A common one among white Americans was a belief that all black Americans "love fried chicken and watermelon". I have no idea how that started, and you don't hear it much anymore. In the video, Casey is about to innocently offer Madison some fried chicken when he suddenly remembers this old stereotype, and stops himself because he realizes he's about to insult her. (You also see a slice of watermelon appear in the blooper video.)
9WonderfulAngels Well.I guess this is how we identify ourselves. I have never seen a black european say he's "african-european" To us it is more logical to say "black-european" since that's what we are, european who are black.
9WonderfulAngels The terminology for referring to black Americans in the U.S. has changed several times over the years. About 100 years ago, the common term was "colored". That was eventually considered offensive, and the term was changed to "negro". Sometime in the 1970s "negro" started to be considered kind of offensive, and it became "black". Around the 1990s, someone decided that "black" was offensive, and it should be changed to "African American". Today there's a bit of a trend back to "black" again, so you'll hear both "black" and "African American". Something similar has happened with indigenous Americans, who were originally called "Indians". Today it's more common to hear "native American" or "tribal member". I don't have any idea why these words go in and out of fashion.
As an Australian parts of this are confusing. So an American stereotype is that African American's really like fried chicken? I mean who doesn't!? haha
it's a historical thing, before slavery was abolished fried chicken was a common slave food. So it can be a little offensive depending on the situation.
I definately understand the whole "accidental racism" idea... I am practacally a mix of EVERYTHING around the world. Name it and I am it.. indian, caribean, jewish, chinese, german, dutch, surinamese, arubean, and a looong looong list that continues till forever XD
